Ordered an item from the website. Zero communications from the retailer. I contacted them three days later after not hearing anything. Was told that the item was out of stock and could not be supplied at the price paid. Order was cancelled. My time wasted.

What a great company

What a great company, had a problem with my syscan drive, they first sent out a part but turned out not to be the problem, Rother Valley immediatley arranged to collect the whole kit, no problems parcle collecyed from home next day, the whole process madfe easier by their updates in email form, notifying me all the time what was going on (very helpfuul), emailed me Ftiday to say all sotrted and I would receive following Monday, the efficency of this company unbeleivable, it actaualy came on the Sateday, great service fron Rother Valley and their courier system

Fantastic customer service. As always.

Have purchased several items from RVO recently to begin my new hobby of amateur astronomy. I have always found their prices, advice (to a novice) and customer service to be brilliant. Yesterday they went the extra mile. I contacted them to ask what they can do in regard to one of the legs on the tripod of a Celestron telescope package (purchased just 2 months ago) I recently accidentally damaged. The plastic casing of a leg clamp had broken away which meant I now had just 2 usable legs for the tripod, which was therefore completely useless. Imagine my very pleasant surprise to receive a new tripod leg less than 24 hours later. Now that is fantastic customer service. So, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending RVO to anyone thinking of using them. And I will certainly be returning to them for all my future astronomy equipment and advice.

excellent customer service and price

As a novice when buying telescope, my go to site was a well known camara seller, however, after a quick online search Rother Valley Optics came up considerably cheaper which did make me a little skeptical. A quick reply from the team regarding stock availability soon put that to one side. the subsequent customer service and prompt dispatch and delivery was impressive and I can not recommend Rother Optic enought

Excellent service!

I was looking at getting a Sega Homestar Flux Planetarium for my son's Christmas present. After looking at the German based suppliers and the fact they are the only supplier on Amazon, I wanted to find a UK based company for certainty with the warranty and delivery. This led me to RVO and their high Trust Pilot rating. Their website suggested you ring for stock checks to be on the safe side. I did this and was greated with a friendly and helpful staff member (sorry I am terrible at remembering names) and they checked for the item, as well as an extra disc for it. They said if the order was placed before 3p.m. it would ship for next day delivery. They were true to their word and it arrived by DPD the next morning. Very happy with their service and the Sega Flux after giving a pre-wrappign test. Many thanks nad Happy Christams to you all.

A Fabulous Company Delivering Fantastic Service

I almost never leave / give reviews for no other reason than I have never felt compelled to do so. However, following the unbelievable excellent service from RVO I have recently received I now do feel compelled to give credit where credit is due. I sent off my mount for servicing and following completion I agreed with RVO that I would collect in due course as I wanted to purchase a camera and it would give me an opportunity to visit the store. Due course, due to circumstances, kept passing me by but RVO were very understanding and at no point pushed me to collect the mount, even though I had not yet paid for the service. This was greatly appreciated. Finally, I had enough Astro Beans to get the camera and a few other bits and pieces and drove over to RVO's shop last Saturday. There was a warm welcome and it was great to have the opportunity to browse around the fabulous showroom. A massive thank you to Adam and the team for all their knowledge, help and advice and for giving me a great deal. I would not hesitate in recommending RVO for any advice you my need or any purchases you want to make. Oh and one final thank you to Adam for promising not to tell my wife how much I spent !

Should be Everyone's First Choice for Astronomy

This is a fantastic company where you can find everything you need for astronomy and more. Not only are the team attentive and knowledgeable, but they are tremendously helpful and flexible. Not just a shop, Rother Valley Optics has a full workshop and can pretty much do anything you need. Adam was amazingly supportive when I ran into an issue with my telescope and could not have done more for me, This is far from being an anonymous online supplier, although you can just buy what you need from the well-organised website at keen prices. The team is there for you with an answer for anything you might need to know, whether you are an absolute beginner or running your own remote telescope in Chile (!) I can thoroughly recommend them.

Emailed to see if a filter was in stock . Got a prompt reply . Ordered it via webpage that same morning and it arrived the next day . Can't fault that level of service and I would definitely use again. Thanks.
