We bought the mobile coop since we are only getting a few chickens. It does go better with 2 people doing the assembly. The quality is excellent! I would like an option to have a floor in the coop. We feel our chickens would be safer from cayotes. We are adding onto it to make a floor. Overall we love it!

We bought our original round top coop several years ago and have now added our second extension. With a quick pressure wash the cedar cleans right up. Being modular it has worked well for us over the years and I believe it to stand the test of time.

The end product is great, and I am very happy about this addition to our homestead. I have been dreaming of purchasing this grand coop for about 5 years, but scared away at the price never thinking I would be able to buy it. When I saw the coop at 40% off, I jumped on it. Just for that fact, I should be giving this 5 stars, but I am being honest as though I paid the full amount. I made sure every bit of wood was soaked with linseed oil, before we put it together. The reason I didn't give it a 5-star review is because some of the wood was chipped, and some of the wood was not the quality of what I would have purchased (very roughly cut lumber), but I am very picky. The square devices for the food dispenser are such that my chickens keep going at it until there is a full layer of food all around and they empty the food out. We are considering retooling it to see what the options are for fixing it this summer while my hubby is off. I love the water dispenser, however. Easy work there! Love the ease of checking it and filling it. My chickens caught on to the nesting boxes right away, and it is a snap to gather eggs. The issue I am most concerned about is that after over a month, they still will not sleep in the roosting box. We have put them in there to encourage them to explore there, but nope, they won't sleep in there, as of yet. Maybe it is too high and they don't want to walk up the steps to sleep up there. Maybe the walkway is too narrow; I don't know, but there is no poo, so I know they don't sleep in there. If you have any advice, we are ready to listen. We added a bungie cord to the door, so it will close behind us like a normal swing door when we walk in. My husband came up with that. We also added our electric fence around the front chicken door, so they have more room outside as well. I wish there was a chicken door on the opposite side and maybe in the run, but we make do. Overall, as I said before, the end product is great! It was worth every penny at the 40% discount. I am very happy and feel blessed my chickens have such a great dwelling. Don't pass up this product; at 40% off, this is a deal!

I ordered a new nipple waterer for my Round Top Coop - the old one cracked when it froze. They shipped the new one fast and it was packaged well.

Excellent customer service, which is rare nowadays. I had a real person to respond to my recent problem of a damaged shipment. The response was immediate and excellent. New roof panels were shipped out to me for replacement of the damaged roof panels without issue. I have been very pleased with their walk-in chicken coop and the service, and highly recommend the Roost and Root company.
