I actually went up to Dripping Springs and visited Roost and Root. THEY WERE SO WONDERFUL. They worked hard to ensure I bought the right coop for my needs. Gave me suggestions, advice, and two pounds of yummy coffee beans. Even after I ordered, they answered the phone and all my questions. I am so happy with my coop and my chickens are too!

The customer service of root and roost was TOP of the line. The sales rep was absolutely prompt, friendly and communicative. I needed this coop for a community project and despite shipping issues they made it happen!! The coop itself is beautiful, quality, and really easy to assemble. 10/10 would recommend.

The kit was well-packaged and the parts identified, the parts fit together very well (the couple that were a little "off" could be remedied with some sanding without sending items back). They replaced, at no charge, the panel that had some personalization.

Easy assembly, functions fine far as I can tell. Customer service is good as well.

Our Slant-Roof greenhouse looks great, and the pre-fab sections and easy to follow directions made it simple to build. We have received numerous compliments from friends and neighbors about it, and my wife can't wait to use it.

Really love the coop! The only reason it got 4/5 stars is that some of the parts were loose and not fastened straight. But overall really love the coop.

I really love my small coop and extra run. I wish I could afford the bigger one, but for now, this one is great! The only thing my hens and I struggled with, was training them to drink from the red nipple above their heads that is attached to the white pvc pipe. I have told so many about my coop because I’ve had chickens for over twelve years now and this coop is by far, the best built and the neatest design ever! I’m glad I moved and was able to bring my hens with me, which forced me to buy a new coop! I love my new coop!!!!

This was the best organized project I have ever assembled. I’d say I’m fairly handy but that said, I am a new chicken owner and am learning. This coop. Sigh. My yard is cute. While putting it together, I exclaimed many times “this is all boxed in order”, “I am in love with whoever wrote these directions”, “my soulmate is whoever organized all of the hardware into a segmented clear tackle box”, “all of the predrilled holes align”. I keep waiting for the hard part that didn’t make sense and it never came. It did take site prep before arrival and I’m glad I put that time in because I feel more confident about predators not being able to dig under this. I dug down and ran chicken wire underground around the outside and covered that with rock.

I love my new coop! We will be transporting our hens to Florida with us for the winter, so My husband and I built the coop together while in Florida for Labor Day weekend. The square footage is the maximum that our city ordinance will allow which was quite convenient. The instructions were perfect! Everything went together as planned except for the nesting box section. We had a little difficulty getting this section to fit inside the frame. Some of my husband’s elbow grease and a crow bar helped to ease it into place. The other side slid into place easily. The handy dandy accessory kit was very robust and kept all of the fasteners in order while under construction but can also be used afterward for miscellaneous hardware. The crate that the coop was shipped in would make an awesome chick brooder for anyone just starting their flock. You could order your coop, remove the coop materials from the crate, order or acquire your chicks and brood your chicks in the shipping crate all while taking your time erecting your coop!
