Good size coop for babies

This is a good size coop for baby chickens or a "hospital" coop. It took a lot longer to put together than we thought it would, and I'm concerned about being able to clean it. It doesn't seem accessible for that.

We are so grateful we found Roost &…

We are so grateful we found Roost & Root! It was an amazing experience. We had a big project, so Dyan helped us figure out exactly what we needed. The process was so simple and seamless. They showed up exactly when they said they would and were very friendly and helpful. The location of our project was a bit hard to get to, but it didn't bother the delivery guys at all.. It was even raining. We absolutely LOVE our raised beds, they made our project complete. We highly recommend Roost & Root!

Repeat Customer

This is our second Roost and Root coop and we love it! So much stronger and safer than cheaper big-box store coops. Great customer service as well!

You guys are amazing

You guys are amazing! I must have called you 20 times with all sorts of questions about the coop. It never felt like I was calling a company. It felt like I was calling a friend! Thank you for making my chicken journey so seemless.

Overall I like the product

Overall I like the product. It has a great design and function. We did have some boards that were bowed and the pieces of wood inside that you can hang things from were not of good quality and broke. We had to use metal mending plates to hold the broken pieces together.

Very good experience

Very good experience. The coop arrived securely with no missing or damaged pieces. The instructions were clear, and the pieces were accurately labeled. All in all, a good time putting it together. We have given Roost a few suggestions. Suggestions for the purchaser: Watch videos before assembling. There is a good one on YouTube, but we watched it after assembly and saw what we did wrong! We purchased the XL Walk-in and are happy with the size and quality. Our new chicks seem happy, too!

I wanted to love the coop

I wanted to love the coop, I like the coop. The hinges on the nest boxes came pre-attached and half of them were put in locations where they're unusable because the latches go into the adjacent wire. The door being in three pieces is quite awkward. Getting it straight enough to function properly is difficult enough that I'm probably just going to hire someone to make me a new door. Also I wish there was an option to get (or get plans for) a baseplate made of long pieces of lumber. It would be hugely more sturdy and easier to level. It's very pretty but not 100% sure I'd get another one. Edited after R&R's kind reply. Thank you, I will give you a call. I really do *like* the coop and think it is extremely pretty, and the design is largely well thought out, I wanted to politely point out problems I had for other buyers to help them work around them. I am sure that with the changes you are making to the design it is moving significantly closer to a complete "home run".

Great little coop for 'stealth' chicken flocks

We have two Round Top coops. Our starter was the Round Top Mobile Coop in 2016. This was great for 3 chickens, but "chicken math" meant that we rapidly wanted to add to our brood. In 2019, we upgraded to the Round Top Chicken Loft. Both are fantastic coops. We have 5 chickens in the Loft, which is easily accessibly both inside and out. I like the fact that I can walk into the coop (which you can't with the mobile coop). The Mobile Coop is now used as a broody hen/hospital coop or to introduce new hens to the flock. Very satisfied with our purchases and I can highly recommend the company.

Roost & Root is super helpful

Roost & Root is super helpful. They build great products and are more than willing to provide guidance on how to raise chickens and give easy direction on what to worry about and what not to worry about!
