Great coop from Root and Roost. It was cut to fit together perfectly. I got everything I ordered and directions with colorful pictures. I recommend if you want to paint or stain, do it before you assemble the coop.

Love out new coop! A few things - it took four of us adults to put it together. In the winter the water pipe has frozen so we’re going to insulate it. The “storm” shutters are fiddly. Im not crazy about those. Overall a very solid, well made coop. I see it lasting us for decades.

We have absolutely loved our new coop. It was not difficult to build and our two tween-aged girls helped in putting it together.

I was so very excited to get my stand up chicken coop. It is truly a beautiful and well designed coop. My ladies appear to love their new home and they are thriving. My husband is still suffering from coop sticker shock and calls the harvest we receive golden eggs, lol. If you are going to do something do it well! This coop should last quite some time.

We love our walk-in coop! And I think the chickens do too! Putting it together was pretty straightforward, mostly easy. Only problems were a couple of the pieces were a bit warped, and we had to kind of finesse them into fitting. There was one that was too warped to use, but the company was very prompt in replacing that part for us. The cedar smells lovely (different from most chicken coops!), and looks good too.

To be totally transparent, I already did a review July 13th 2020 where I gave 4 stars but I wanted to give 4 1/2. By giving 5 today, it ends up averaging to 4.5! I am very happy with the coop but I wanted to bring up a few key points: 1- It can withstand a black bear attack! (mine is screwed door to a base made of 4 x 4 pressure treated wood so very sturdy). Though I had to put an electric fence around it afterward to prevent this from happening again. 2- Works for New Hampshire winter BUT with a few adjustments: I have sealed all the gaps between the planks and between walls and roof. I'm using insulation panel on the coop roosting area door and the laying box door to minimize draft. I'm also using a Cozy Coop heater in the roosting area. Chickens are comfy even below 0! (I have posted a Google review with pictures) 3- The feeder works well but you have to seal the coop opening around it as otherwise, water (rain or melting snow) will make its way down, sliding on the outside walls of the feeder, and get to the food at the bottom, making it mushy and then cloging the feeder. 4- The water dispenser with the nipple does not work great. My chickens never figured out how to use it but also it will freeze up in very cold temperature EVEN with the special nipple AND with the aquarium heater suggested. Better stick to a regular dispenser on a heating base for winter. Overall, great product, very sturdy. Thx again

Assembly was straightforward and went very well. No missing parts. Looks great. Only issue was the wood ledge in front of the nesting box broke off after a few days. However, it was easy to repair with a couple of long screws.

I was ready to upgrade my coop and purchase something that had lasting durability. I was going going back and firth between a few sites, but I always came back to Roost & Root. Got out coop about 8 weeks ago and my husband had no issues putting it together. The girls really seem to like it, and I love everything about it. Great look, super durable and fantastic design. I’m so happy we ended up going with Roost & Root. It wasn’t the cheapest, but I think in the long run, it’s the best investment.
