This was the first time I travelled with a tour company for an extended trip and it was such a positive experience that I would do it again! Maria Jose and all the staff at Inca Expert Travel were patient and helpful in all the initial planning with accommodating our requests and timelines, including all the questions and concerns along the way. As we got closer to our travel dates, our rep Maria Jose was a consistently excellent communicator and made sure that we had all the appropriate details for our upcoming trip. We also greatly appreciated all the tips regarding acclimating to the high altitude of Cusco. Having no activities for that first day in Cusco was very important so we could rest and allow our bodies to adjust. Each transfer from airport to hotel, hotel to tour, tour group to airport etc was handled with great care and attention and each person was polite, on time and had all the information we needed for the next excursion or adventure. The accommodations in Lima, Cusco and Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) were all exactly what we needed, including breakfast at each hotel, even at early hours needed before we were getting picked up for a tour. I would highly recommend Inca Experts and their entire staff for any visit to Peru! Hotels we stayed at: Tierra Viva Miraflores (Lima) Tierra Viva Machu Picchu Maytaq Wasin - Cusco Tours taken: Lima 1/2 day city tour Sacred valley tour (all day) Self guided Machu Picchu hike Machu picchu tour (I would do hike in the AM and tour in the afternoon so you have enough time to do the hike and rest in between) Cusco 1/2 day city tour The only thing I wouldn’t do again is pre-book a meal in Cusco. There are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from that pre-booking wasn’t necessary and seemed more expensive.

Just got back to the US from a girls trip in Peru! It was a trip of a lifetime! Maria at Inca Expert Travel planned every detail from the transfers, hotel accommodations, city tours, train reservations and a lunch reservation at a local restaurant in Cusco. I highly recommend this company because they are willing to accommodate your every request and answer all your questions through email or over the phone. Our itinerary was custom planned and reviewed with all the attention to details for months prior to our departure. I have all the confidence to recommend this company to family and friends wanting to travel to Peru. One of my favorite moments was the train to Agua Calientes. The Vista train was so much fun and a great way to get you excited about your upcoming hike at Machu Picchu. From start to finish, Inca made this journey so enjoyable. The guides spoke fluent English and were very informative. They tailored each excursion to the needs of our family. The sites we visited were incredible and the guides!drivers always showed up on time to pick us up. Inca timed and planned our vacation flawlessly. They are easy to email text and call at all times. I was so impressed by Inca that I would recommend them for anyone.

The representatives that met us at airports and at the train station: They were beyond helpful and timely. They had the signs very visible and I immediately found them. They were professional and courteous. They helped explain and answer any questions we had. They took us directly to hotels and went in with us. They were truly a wonderful help. We applaud them. The guides for tours: We were so amazed at their knowledge and how they explained everything with interest and charm. They made learning about the Incas fun and exciting. We were so happy and interested in learning with them. They really know their stuff and we thought they just read a lot about it. We found out later from Valeria (food tour in Lima guide) that they actually get a degree in it after 4 years in college. We were amazed that there was a major in it. That's a great major and we were impressed by Peru for having such a degree in their universities. I think it's wonderful. It was no wonder they knew so much. They were like walking encyclopedias. Marvelous. Our hats off to our guides: Ricardo, Carmen, Valeria, Peter, and Italio. They were so wondeful and professional. The hotels: They were all wonderful. The staff at Casa Andina were beyond wonderful and a shout out to Juan Carlos who was always there to help us with our bags. He is kind and a true professional. All the hotels were beautiful and the staff was always helpful. They were welcoming and went out of their way to inform us of all the amenities their hotels had. Fantastic work on choosing those great hotels.
