This is the most adventurous trip my family has been on and it exceeded our expectations. From beginning to end, the trip was perfectly organized and paced. I reached out to Inca Expert in January '24 to begin planning our 6-day family trip for July '24 and Silvia was so quick to respond and help us figure out the perfect itinerary. We tuned it to meet my family's needs and added a trip to an alpaca farm and a day to explore Cusco on our own. Within a week, everything was finalized and booked. The hardest part was waiting 6 months for what we knew was going to be an amazing trip!! Now for the actual trip! All of our tours and transfers were private. Our tour guide for Cusco and the Sacred Valley was Fabricio. He was so knowledgeable and passionate to share with us the history of each of the sites. He took us to areas most will miss with other tour company guides and was accommodating of my parents by giving us options on paths we could take to explore the sites. In between drives from point A to B, we made stops at scenic sites, markets (we tried the delicious cherimoya), and lesser known archaeological ruins. The days were fun and jam packed! We left with a deep appreciation for the culture and a desire to continue to learn more, all thanks to Fabricio. Our tour guide for Machu Picchu was Victor. He was also incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic and took amazing family photos. We had ample time to explore Circuit 2 and take plenty of breaks. The logistics of Macchu Picchu can be daunting but Victor and the pre-planning by the Inca Expert team helped make everything go smoothly. I also want to give a shoutout to Diana for also helping with the logistics of the trip and answering our pre-trip questions! And a shoutout to our driver Amilka who got us to each of our destinations safely! Lasly, our absolute favorite hotel (ever) was Palacio del Inka in Cusco. The staff were so kind and the hotel was perfectly situated to the best markets and restaurants. I would 10/10 recommend Inca Expert to everyone and I hope to book another trip with them in the future. This was an absolute trip of a lifetime, one that we will never stop talking about. We loved our tour of Peru and Machu Picchu in particular. The guides were knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was out of this world. The accommodations were typical of the area and very comfortable with great service. The most outstanding part of the tour was the logistics. We were surprised to see that we were met at every single stop and taken to the next destination flawlessly. Everything worked like clockwork with military precision. This was the best tour we’ve ever taken and we are seasoned travelers having visited 110 countries. I can recommend this tour without reservation. Simply excellent. Above and beyond our expectations.
