Abysmal company, stay clear
I had a deeply unsatisfactory experience with this company, which led me to switch to a competitor, and I will not be returning. The organisations operational approach needs a complete overhaul. They exhibited consistent incompetence across various aspects, including administrative and customer service.One major issue involved random calls claiming they had not received my direct debit payment, despite their system erroneously withdrawing double the amount from my account. Overcharging wasn't limited to just me—it’s a widespread issue affecting numerous customers, which is entirely unacceptable.My frustration escalated after multiple phone calls and emails disputing a gas bill that was inexplicably higher than my electricity bill, which is concerning given that I own two electric vehicles. I requested a thorough investigation into the accuracy of their estimates over the past 12 months, as they had never once requested a meter reading from me—an unusual oversight. I thought the matter had been resolved after receiving and paying what I believed to be a corrected bill. However, just four days later, I received yet another invoice for an excessive amount.As a result, I have lodged a formal complaint with the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU). Despite their competitive rates, I strongly advise avoiding this company due to their lack of professionalism and reliability.

Leaving Flogas and associated problems
I was a customer for a few years with no issue, the issues began when I left. I had credit in both accounts (still waiting for the larger credit, but that seems to be the norm, reading the reviews), Last week I noticed in my statement Flogas took money from my account, I contacted customer support and was told initially they did not but when i got details from bank, they did admit they had. At this point the bank had recalled the dd, the bank said Flogas tried to open a mandate like i was starting up with them again, even though i have switched companies. I explained to the agent what had happened told her how dd was recalled and trusted there would be no other problems, other than receiving my credit (still waiting). I was willing to leave it there at that point. She said she would refer it to the banking dept, but did not hear anything further. Until I got 2 letters today. One saying i owe for the recalled direct debit with penalty for recalling the dd with vat. I also received another letter with an urgent request for a meter read, even though I am paying another company for my energy needs. Flogas will attempt to take my money again, before fixing the problem and will try to penalize me again when i stop it or recall it, is this really how Flogas wants to be seen, is it normal to withhold credits on leaving and to open mandates even when the customer has left, its pretty unsatisfactory on every level.
