Increasingly expensive and inflexible for an individual subscriber

I've been with OneCom as a business and an individual subscriber for over 12 years. I originally used OneCom as an employee of one of the UK's largest semiconductor companies where I was working specifically on development of future 4G and 5G technologies. Experience (support and service) was excellent and could not be faulted during these years. Recently however, for the last 3 years, I've been working with smaller US and UK based startups, again on 5G and 6G technology and using OneCom as an individual subscriber. For reasons of continuity I stayed with OneCom for my mobile subscription. My experience as an individual is very different from that which I had as a business user. Support has continued to be good but I've found them increasingly expensive and inflexible in the tariffs they can offer. I've found them extremely inflexible in their business procedures. I've now found myself in a situation where I'm being charged in excess of £500 above market rate for the final year of my contract. They have offered me an option to renew at a lower rate for two years, with a competitive rate for the first year, but then would be exposed again to a much higher than normal rate for my final year unless I once again renew for a further two years. This business practise allows them to lock in unsuspecting subscribers but to me certainly doesn't seem fair - and one could suggest doesn't seem particularly ethical. As other reviewers have noted, their call centre operators in the UK are not "particularly understanding" and patient when resolving these more challenging issues - summary - this is the situation, here is the tariff, take it because you can't leave it. So I'm going to suck up £500 of tariff discrepancy between the offered tariff and that from, for example Vodafone direct, for my final year and won't be renewing thereafter.

Absolutely disgraceful

Absolutely disgraceful. We are a hospitality business who have had to apparently change to digital service. This was booked in for weeks. They turned up this morning having cut off the old system before making sure new one works and now have no broadband or phone lines

Rachel is an absolute 5 star for Customer service. I needed a replacement SIM card for one of our business phones. Rachel sent it out and it arrived as she had quoted. I then had problems getting the sim to activate Rachel guided me through step by step, she was responsive and quick to answer any questions I raised.
