Very helpful, professional company, Matt alerted me quickly when a bike of the model/size I wanted was coming into stock and allowed me to reserve it. Delivery on a pallet was quite something to behold, arriving upright, fully wrapped in black like the monolith out of 2001! The safe packaging continued to the inside, bike was perfectly wrapped and protected, both bike and accessories were in perfect order. The bike has been a fantastic machine so far (Haibike Trekking 7) - the motor has given me my 20-year-old legs back and it will tackle hills, tarmac, forest track, and gravel/dirt trails without skipping a beat.

I visited three other bike shops in the area before visiting Surge Bikes. In each of those I felt I was being sold to according to stock they had at the time. On my visit to Surge Bikes I felt that they were much more attentive to my requirements, and were very good at explaining the differences between the various bikes on offer, recommending a style of bike that I hadn't been offered elsewhere. I ended up buying a bike with a lot more confidence, and I am happy to say that I love the bike! Matt and the team at Surge Bikes have been amazing - from the initial online enquiry, to a well worth quick 100 mile trip down to a see a bike all set up and ready for a test drive on arrival. Toughest decision was to select the complimentary accessories with the offer that was on at the time to the point of being offered to take it away while I was there! Best decision I have made ever! Orbea Gain 40 is awesome and can’t stay off it, and can now keep up the group on the 70k rides with no issues at all..

I recently ordered a Orbea e bike, which was from start to finish a easy experience. I spoke to the staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. Advising me on helmets, the correct bike lock and the free spares I could get with the bike I bought. Though it was all done via email and phone I felt that I had the right help and advise. The bike has been an absolute joy, so easy to set up and ride. So light for an ebike even as I bought the fully loaded version. Thanks to all the staff for your help.

Worth the Effort wherever your travelling from... Faultless customer service, particularly from Michael who spent the best part of a couple of hours showing and explaining to a novice like me all the ins and outs of the Orbea ebike which I very recently purchased. I had driven all the way down from London after having spoken to Matt on the phone who hadn't given me a hard sell. It really was worth the effort and I had a great experience, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. Very knowledgeable team as well as being very patient and polite - a real pleasure to buy from them. The 10% boost was the icing on the cake.

Surge bikes (Matt and the team) have been excellent, great customer service and excellent advice. We recently purchased 2 Orbea Gain bikes and Surge offered lots of valuable advice around tyre choice and groupset (as we wanted gravel bikes). Probably the best bike shop experience I have had in a long time (and I'm super fussy). We travelled two and a half hours to make a personal visit! So: bikes are great, service was great, advice was excellent, very supportive and a great cup of coffee too...added bonus the bike colour match our camper van (told you I was fussy!). Top firm.
