I recently bought an Orbea Rise M-10 eMTB from Surge Bikes. I called a number of dealers and from the initial call I could tell that I was going to get an excellent service from Surge Bikes. They were so helpful and informative on the telephone that I decided the extra distance to get to them would be worthwhile, and I wasn't disappointed. Matt and the whole team were so honest, attentive, and keen to help and advise. Although I had done some research, I wasn't 100% sure which bike I wanted as in the current climate eMTB's are just not available to test. Surge Bikes had the Orbea Rise, which was high on my list, and they had one in my size. I was able to take it for a test ride around the car park, which is of sufficient size to be able to get a reasonable feel for the bike. This, along with their patience and advice made my decision easy. I bought the bike there and then. They didn't try to sell me any extras, instead you get free accessories to 10% of the value of the bike through the Surge Boost deal. I wanted to upgrade the battery level display and rather than just take my money, they advised that a retro fit for an upgraded display was expensive and didn't enhance the display that much. They suggested that I just buy a GPS device with much more functionality. When I returned to pick up the bike the following day, armed with my new GPS device, they even took the time to explain how it worked and set it up for me. I cannot recommend the team at Surge Bikes more highly. I felt that they were all genuinely engaged in wanting to ensure I bought the right bike for me and not just making a sale. A very refreshing quality.

I purchased an Orbea EBike from here in October 2021. Had bikes in stock, great service from Matt, happy for me to try the bike in different frame sizes, took me through the bike setup, all good.

I bought an Orbea Rise EMTB from Surge (BTW - an excellent bike). I had to wait many months as we are currently in the silly season thanks to Covid! Matt arranged for me to see somebodyelse's bike to check it for size, before it was despatched to its owner. The Surge Boost deal is great as you always need some extras for a new bike. Always very responsive with queries, very friendly and they even make you a coffee while you wait. And you can easily park there, which is always a bonus. Worth travelling the extra distance!

I recently bought a Focus Aventura bike from the guys at Surge Bikes and in few words it was a superb experience. I drove 2+ hours to get to site and Satnav gets you there with no issues. All the team on site were so helpful and had the bike prepared in advance, ready for a test ride and nothing was too much trouble. I knew after a few mins that I loved the bike and was going to purchase. The really great thing about Surge though is their boost offer which allows you to choose accessories for your bike which amount to 10% of the bike cost. Cannot recommend this company enough.

Excellent service throughout. I originally ordered a bike that I hadn’t had the opportunity to see in ‘real life’ due to the current situation, unfortunately when it arrived it wasn’t suitable due to the geometry. The team at Surge bikes were able to suggest an alternative that would be in stock shortly. Very happy with the quality of service received and the staff appear to all be very knowledgable along with being friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a new e-bike.

Very helpful dealership, with a good stock of bikes. Had a (fairly lengthy) conversation about what would suit, and plumped for a Merida e-Speeder, which doubles perfectly as a commuter bike and a weekend tourer. The Surge boost meant that I walked away with panniers, a lock and some lights, which was exactly what I needed to be fully up and running. With the bike in stock, and having driven to try it out off road, delivery was within a week, and the bike has been problem free so far, after about 500km. Very pleased and, if they have the bike you want, I would recommend them wholeheartedly. It was nice also to have a follow up email offering to give the bike an initial check up after a month or so - but as I live a distance away it is easier to get my local shop to do this.

Friendly, helpful and professional staff. I was given an off road test ride on a demo Orbea Rise and ordered one. It arrived on time and set up on collection. The 'surge boost' deal is very good and covered all the accessories I wanted.

A true test of a business and in particular the owners integrity, is not how they operate in normal day to day situations but how they perform when things go wrong and with this in mind, I am very happy to thoroughly recommend this business. First of all, Surge were very accommodating when the shop I originally ordered my Orbea Rise from were unable to supply, Matt allocated me a pre-ordered bike and kept me informed of progress. Once I got home after the handover, I found the bike would not power up due to a small but important oversight during the PDI. I was able to sort out the issue myself and enjoying the bike, but Matt was very disappointed that his own high standards had not been met on this occasion and without prompting, sent me a gift in compensation which was far more generous than I expected.You can't really ask more than that and this customer focussed responsible approach to business should be recognised and rewarded for that.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who even suggested the size of e-bike I needed before I got there. They were one of the few places in the country to have the one I wanted in stock. The best bit after trying it out was being able to choose accessories to the value of 10% of the cost of the bike. Great service and worth going halfway across the country as I did to see them.
