If you are looking for great and reliable service and informed advice then Surge Bikes is a great choice. I had already test ridden a few ebikes and set my heart on the Orbea D40. Not a daft price however it is an exceptional bike that takes that edge off the hills. As a regular bike commuter, I love the D40, its similar gearing to my previous road bike, but makes hills so much more enjoyable. Surge bikes were able to supply me with the bike I wanted. Matt was very knowledgeable and the surge extras were a great bonus.

Went to look at EBikes and came out having purchased a Merida Espresso 400! Matt was very helpful. I was able to try out a few bikes which were in stock (a miracle in itself in the present climate!) and settled on the Merida. They were able to reserve the bike for me for a week (without any deposit). I went back the following week to complete the purchase and choose my free accessories. The bike was delivered to my door a few days later by another Matt who spent time making sure the saddle was the correct height and showing me how everything worked. Very impressed with Surge's service and am very pleased with my bike too!

Surge Bikes is an excellent bike dealer, I ordered a Tern GSD end of June and received my bike in under 1.5 weeks. The bike included the Surge Boost that allowed me to get several accessories included in the bike price. No other dealer has this offer. Matt was excellent in explaining the process of ordering and shipment throughout and rushed my bike to me. The level of personal service is amazing. The one thing I didn't expect was the level of packing Surge does - its really well packed inside the box and parts packed extremely carefully and thoroughly as well. This was important as I ordered a few weeks before from a different dealer and they shipped the bike damaged as a result of poor packing. It would have been good to understand that Surge ships their bikes on a wooden pallet for further shipment protection, which living in a flat was challenging to get from the street drop off up to my flat on my own - this was well over 100kg! Something to be mindful of and get a friend to help when you receive your order. All in all the experience from Surge Bikes is excellent and I will buy only from them on my next bike purchase. ----------- Matt contacted me after I posted this review and they have already been reviewing their overall sales and follow up process to make it even better. Honestly, if you're buying a bike you shouldn't look elsewhere - customer service is the best I've ever seen!
