Surge was recommended to me for my first e mountain bike and I would have no reason not to recommend them to anyone. Matt gave me all the time I needed to discuss and choose the right e mtb for me and when I came to collect the bike a week later Matt the mechanic was equally as attentive when setting up the bike with me. I had been looking for a eMTB for a while. Due to Coivd its fairly difficult to track down, an in-stock eMTB. I had originally contacted Matt @ Surge bikes re: an Orbea Wild FS. They didnt have any in stock but advised they had a Haibike AllMtn 7 due in. Spent some time researching it and got back to Matt fairly quickly. From reservation to delivery Matt/Surge offered a great service. Reservation was painless Surge accessories were a great addition Communication was fantastic Build and delivery was very prompt, especially taking into account the recent "surge" in demand for bikes. If I had been able to give a percentage for my experience rather than whole stars, I would have given this super company 99.99%. The team were so helpful with choosing my bike and there was no hard sell whatsoever. They went well beyond the call of duty to help the bike fit me by making adaptions which have worked very well. My only negative experience was that after delivery one of the wires from the lights parted from the fitting which was a bit disappointing. I am sure if I had contacted the company, they would have put it right but it was such a tiny job that it wasn't worth the effort. The only reason I mention it was that my husband did point out that it looked problematic and we were assured it was fine. As a person who is a fairly novice rider, the company did suggest that I could go for a cheap model so I didn't get the impression they were out to get as much money out of me as possible. I chose not to use the Surge Boost offer because there was nothing I needed but the price of the bike was so competitive, had I chosen to take up their offer, I would not have been out of pocket.

From start to finish Matt has been most helpful, i purchased a Haibike online although not my first choice i am glad i decided to go with it , Matt kept me updated throughout and the process from start to finish was under a week , the delivery was excellent , the bike came and all i had to do was attach pedals and bars , the bike was well protected i have never seen so much bubble wrap ! a big plus was that the brake levers and display were on the correct side a lot of bike shops do not do this it is left for you to put them to UK standard ... so all in all a definite five stars good to see a company doing what they say , again a big thank you.
