Project solar engineer s came on time installed the system which looks brilliant. All the staff have been friendly and accommodating. Will take time to see how it works and what saving we will make but so far good

Perfect survey from Helal Ali

Sensibly priced quote, thorough survey, from helal ali, project solar are excellent installers and comprehensive solution. they produced a bespoke install that accommodated our demands (difficult roof in a difficult location!). Reassuring follow-up to ensure the solution was working to the design and expectation and helal is very knowledgeable all surveys I had done no one knew as much as he did also very helpful office staff to help get the (significant) paperwork in place to allow us to take advantage of the feed-in tariff. If anyone’s thinking of going solar you must call helal ali a credit to the company

Sexist sales practices

I was booking the survey at my property to take the next steps with Project Solar when their salesperson insisted they would only come 'if my husband or partner was present'. Yes, I am a woman, but the house is owned solely in my name and I pay all the bills. The visit was then downgraded by Project Solar to a phone call survey instead, after I asked why they're using such a sexist sales practice in 2025. This is an aggressive sales technique also used on women by visiting shutter and blinds companies and I'm staggered to have to deal with this in the twenty-first century. HUGE red flag I'm afraid, Project Solar. Change your sales script! You can ask women if they are the homeowner, sole owner and/or bill-payer before assuming it's the husband!

Amazing Customer Service

I cannot remember the last time I had end to end customer service like this. Project Solar were so informative and supportive throughout the whole process. Even checking in after sub-contractors had visited the property for scaffolding. The after care has also been fantastic while we await some certificates to get on the best tariff to compliment our system. The system is also aesthetically pleasing, with great care taken for the panels, batteries and cables. I did not want any part of the install looking untidy

Project Solar UK fully deserve their 5 stars.

At the beginning of January I decided to look into a solar panel and battery system to save on my energy costs. I received quotes from a number of energy suppliers, but felt it would be sensible to also get a quote from a company that would not be supplying my electricity. After Google presented me with a number of options, I decided to try out Project Solar UK. I am so glad I did. Project Solar UK contacted me later the same day and arranged a site visit from their surveyor a couple of days later. James went through the various elements of the Solar PV and battery system in great detail. He performed a full survey and answered all of my questions clearly, explaining the resulting comprehensive quote fully. Due to James, I felt fully confident in Project Solar UK and the system offered that I placed the order there and then. The installation was scheduled for the following week and was completed without any problems. The two teams both carried out their respective roles efficiently, completing the full installation by late afternoon. They were friendly and courteous, and made sure no mess was left, and that I fully understood the system and how to use the app. I can only repeat how glad I was that I found Project Solar UK via Google. It is rare to find a company that is so efficient from the first contact to completion, and to fully deliver in such a friendly manner. I was kept fully informed throughout the process via email, sms and phone calls. Due to the great customer service, at all times felt I was a valued customer.

Reliable Solar Installation with a Few Hiccups, but Great Support

I recently had a solar and battery installation set up with an inverter through Project Solar UK, and while my overall experience was positive, there were a few hiccups along the way. Here's a detailed breakdown: Sales Process: The initial visit from the salesperson left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. They were quite pushy and I felt pressured into a finance agreement, even after mentioning multiple times that I wanted to explore loan options first. However, they did take the time to thoroughly explain the product and how it would work. I raised this during the after-job call, and they assured me it would be investigated. Installation Experience: The installation itself was smooth initially. The team completed the work in a day, and the power loss was minimal, which I appreciated. However, post-installation issues arose when several leaks developed in my house due to cracked tiles caused by the install. First Leak: They quickly came out to inspect the issue and followed up with a fix on another day. Subsequent Leaks: Unfortunately, there were additional leaks in another room caused by more cracked tiles. They addressed these as well, but it happened again. Final Fix: To their credit, the company responded professionally and decided to install a different type of mounting bracket at no extra cost. This solution has resolved the issue completely, and I’ve had no leaks since. System Functionality: The app provided is user-friendly and gives great insight into system usage and controls. However, I haven’t been able to fully utilize it yet as my smart meters have stopped working—important to note, this is not Project Solar UK’s fault. If you’re considering this setup, make sure your smart meters are operational beforehand. Overall Satisfaction: Despite the initial challenges, I’m happy with the service. Project Solar UK handled the issues promptly and professionally and even identified an unrelated problem in my house that had been causing issues in my bathroom. Price: The system is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. The peace of mind knowing they will resolve issues without a fight is worth it. I’m glad I chose them as my solution provider and look forward to a bright future with my solar setup.
