No robocalls, no tub?
I made an appointment and spoke with Michelle. She said because her system could not robocall me, then we could not do business. My husband is having surgery. I have budget and a timeline and made an appointment. I cannot believe you do not want my business because I can't allow you to call my work cell phone number.

The crew came on time and did an amazing job. I thought it would take two days but they worked so well together that no one was ever just standing around waiting on anything. They finished up and left everything perfect. The tub is wonderful. Thanks for such a great experience.

I wasn't there for the install; that fell to my wife. Once I got back, I was completely satisfied with the professional installation and high quality tub. This will help my wife tremendously.

Worst company ever
Worst company ever! Deceptive sales practice and even worst customer service. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS with them again and neither should you! American Standard responded to my review on Sunday 16 Aug.2020 saying that I should call Customer Care but if they had checked they would have found that I have been trying to speak to someone for almost 2 weeks via email, phone, BBB and two States Attorney Generals and have yet to get a response. Worst Company Ever and terrible customer service!
Misrepresents & breach verbal contractual agreement
I do BELIEVE I should NOT only be compensated for the delay in installation, but also for contractor NOT checking drainage of tub & meanwhile I had flood in basement. Also for the open area behind the tub where water can get in & cause possible mold issue. @ This point I am NOT a happy camper & I am NOT trusting American Standard & NO I would NOT recommend them to anyone! LOL I received a reply from Am. Std. directing me to call their customer care team for resolution.... I have to laugh as they MUST be joking! When I called their customer care team: a) you are on hold forever & b) I was hung up on x2. So why would I call to be disrespected & ignored???? Not much thought put into their response to my concerns & complaints. ESPECIALLY when because of them my basement was flooded & NO compensation. Talk about ignorance & arrogance. I was inconvenienced & yet I am being directed to call customer care team????? AM. Std. should be reaching out to me to apologize for delay in installation & for the flood in my basement...OMG... the person I spoke w/ from supposedly American standard was a Jose S. who assured me I would receive refund for delay of installation. When I went to Am. Std. web site to see about an email, none given. So I went to look @ address of Mr Jose S... it is as joseS@______When I searched for Lixil, it is a company in Tokyo Japan!!!!!!!! YET buyer is told products are American Made! Well is it or is it NOT truly American made???? Update: Finally did receive small compensation for flooded basement OK I have used my walk in tub BUT few issues remain: a) apparently "aroma therapy" not all that "aromatic"; b) after certain amount of time, jets shut off. I did not see this covered in the brochure about jets shutting down after a certain amount of time. It's like what the heck???? I can't stand when companies are NOT forth coming. All components of product should be revealed to consumer. Because the refund finally came through, I will increase their rating to 2 stars. 11-17-20 update: salesman informed me my water tank was large enough for walk in tub capacity.... IT was NOT & I now had to purchase a larger capacity water tank..... 50 gal versus 40 gal. Once again BUYER beware! 12-1-20 update: even w/ purchase of the 50gal water tank, the hot water still runs out before tub filled. & no other appliance is running @ same time. So salesperson misrepresneted. Once again BUYER beware!!!!! I would NOT recommend American Standard Liberation walk in tub to anyone. Horrible service & to many issues that go unresolved. ie: aroma therapy does NOT work & even 50gal water tank not sufficient enough! 3-20-22 Walk in Tub less then 2 years since installation & there are a number of issues: a) aromatherapy dispenser is non-functional as IT DOES NOT emit any aroma; b) the lighted feature does not work as far as alternating colored lights; c) The handle that directs either the tub faucet or the shower head is malfunctioning. Kicker is this too: There is no fax # listed to send complaint in & no email listed. I tried to complete the on line form for service BUT even w/ correct model # it claims its in error. I had lodged a complaint of American standard with the FTC because of # issues with the walk in tib. Company misrepresented to make a sale & the tub ended up cossting me more money because I had to purchase a larger hot water heater. Well FTC intervened & the company offered a partial refund. I accepted the offer on 10/11/22. It is now 10/22/22 & I still have NOT received the "partial" refund! In my opinion I would NOT recommend dealing w/ American Standard. Also from 1st problem after installation Am. Std. did NOT keep their word. As I never revceived compansation for delay in installation nor the flood in basement!!!!!!!! 10-29-22 Update: Never received financial compennsation from company on 1st go around w/ the delay in installation & flooding in my basement. Even now made a 3rd complaint to FTC about the company & again was informed they would send me "partial reimbursment" for all issues on this purchase from start date of 7/2020. So problems continue for over 2 years. So now I am contemplating finding a good attorney. In my OPINION: do NOT trust American Standard as they do NOT tell truth & do NOT follow through on said promises so BREACH verbal agreement. I have reported them to FTC @ least 3x's!!! Start date of ALL issues: 7/2020 So over 2 years of nonsense & this purchase was a huge expense! 11-4-22 Update: this purchase was a huge expense of about $15,000.00 company only reimbursed me not even a 1/3 of total cost In my opinion: I would NOT trust this company for they misrepresent on all accounts! They misrepresented about my hot water heater being sufficient: it wasn't had to purchase larger one. Delayed installation x3 & when installed it flooded my basement & I was NOT EVER reimbursed!!
