Cornerstone Cabin Great rustic feel and good location

Everything was very smooth and easy while making my reservation online as well as the checking in process. I booked last minute and the process was easier than anticipated. We had a Wonderful weekend. Thank you.

The location was beautiful, but access to the lake was challenging due to the wall of docks impeding small craft access to the lake (kayak, paddleboard, etc) from the shore. The house itself has no dock, so the only way into the lake is to navigate from the shore to a tight squeeze between 2 docks-one of which is abandoned/unmaintained and a hazard. And if you use those docks in any way to aid your passage between docks, you will be promptly reprimanded by the management to "refrain from occupying the neighboring docks." The home is not air conditioned and it was quite hot and uncomfortable at night even with fans. Some screens were missing, so with the doors open for air-flow many bugs got into the house; but it was too hot to keep doors closed. The view of the lake is amazing from the deck and the home. So, if you want a lake trip where you just look at the lake, this place is great. If you want to USE the lake ie: paddle board, canoe/kayak, there might be homes with better access out there.

Came to celebrate a birthday. As soon as I walked up to the door, I saw dead flies in the window. Not thinking anything of it, I started my stay and was met with tons of cob webs and spiders everywhere. I understand that it is in the woods, but you can at least clean the very visible cob webs and spray for pests. I woke up with things that looked like bug bites, probably spiders which I wouldn't be surprised. I had to keep all of my bags closed because I was scared I would bring spiders home. The bed was hard and cheap. There was a duvet cover with no duvet insert. The cabin was very hot, even with the a/c on. I tried to stay out of the cabin as much as possible because the cabin was just gross.

We had a wonderful stay at Nunu’s cabin! Lots of space for our family and a nice big yard for our dogs.

Seamless check in/out experience. The cabin was exactly as described. Luxurious and fun. Really enjoyed our stay.

The view from the front porch was priceless. The cabin and yard are so cozy and spacious and the staff is kind and very helpful. My only complaint was the last family who stayed in the cabin before we did left all their pets feces behind. My family and filled a trash bag with feces as soon as we arrived. It was all over the yard. Once we did that the stay was so pleasant, quiet, and peaceful. Exactly what my family and I needed on this little natures getaway. Taking walks with my pup was the highlight for me because we saw cute little bunnies and what appeared to be chipmunks running freely in the neighborhood. I would definitely love to revisit. The cabins location couldn’t be placed in a better spot. Views of the lake and the pine tree forest in the distance was the most beautiful sight.

We were frustrated with Cool Cabins due to misinformation/policy changes after we booked regarding early check-in. However, they did make things right after multiple conversations with staff/management. The cabin was adequate in the way it was stocked for linens, paper goods, kitchen items, etc. First impressions are important though and our first impressions were not great! Entry door near parking was not able to be secured with the deadbolt, only the door knob. Both screen doors were in poor condition. One, not able to lock, the other with big gaps at the top allowing insects to enter the cabin. Upon entering the living space, downstairs, the cabin has a large picture window of the lake with two sliding windows on either side. The window screens were in such disrepair, we never opened the left window and hesitantly had the right window open due to the excessive heat the week we were there. EVERY window sill, when windows were first opened, had spiderwebs with live spiders. This was also true of the interior and exterior of the paned glass windows. Also, the popcorn ceiling in the downstairs living space, had numerous spider webs with live spiders as well as a few in the wall corners. We spent most of our first few hours cleaning the cabin! Definitely not what I spend $2400 for…. One ceiling fan above the dining table and multiple box fans were helpful due to the heat but until we cleaned all the spider webs up, we didn’t open windows for fresh, cooler air. We were told we could fish from the boat dock but it was missing floats underneath and very unstable. Not sure if the owner or Cool Cabins is responsible for the comments made. Would we rent this particular cabin again, NO.
