there was a problem with my cell phone in Israel and could not take sim card so representative came to exchange the sim for a working Israeli phone. Unheard of such service and dedicatioin

SIM Card didn't work, haven't received response from company

My rental SIM card didn't work in my phone. When I tried to call, the office was closed - the time difference made reaching the office almost impossible. When I emailed, it took a very long time to receive a response, and the response was not helpful. I have not received any response to my request for a refund, since the card did not work. After the first response, which asked that I let them know whether their suggestions worked, I never heard from them again. I am very dissatisfied.

Great service!

The service was excellent, and I was able to hear completely well with no problem at all! My only issue with it is sometimes the phone turned off by itself with me not doing anything. It wasn't a problem; I just turned it back on; but it did get a little annoying at times. Other than that it really was a great phone and exactly what I needed to use during my trip!

A total waste of money!!!

I was depending on this sim card to access Google maps with my i-Phone. It did not work. Didn't work to make phone calls either. I was able to send texts occasionally but not reliably. Ended up needing to rent a GPS for the car and relying on the good will of locals to make phone calls for me.

My experience

I found that the wifi device option is not really practical as the power is drained very quickly when it's used in the manner of piggy backing off your existing phone. I would recommend either renting an actual separate phone or a sim card for an unclocked phone.

Rented 2 phone: neither worked at first

We rented 2 phones. Neither worked at first. It took two email round-trips to get them both working. Their help-email-address was reasonably responsive, though. Would have been a worse problem if we needed them in the airport on arrival.

Great experience

We used Amigo on our recent trip to israel. From the minute we landed it was great. We had no problems with our phones. Waze worked perfectly and we were able to call America without a problem. We were completely satisfied and would definitely recommend using Amigo.
