Great 4th time experience with my claim!
I'm more than happy with my TrueTraveler insurance. Since I used this insurance, this was my 4th claim (minor claims) and it was always processed within hours. Very smooth process and very helpful people I dealt with so far.

Great for minor issues, terrible if AXA gets involved
Your experience with True Traveller will depend on the type of situation you encounter. For most of our trip, true traveller was extremely quick to respond and reimbursed the tiny claims very quickly. It helps that medical care in Asia is very inexpensive. The problem came when we finished our trip in the US. My son split his lip open and required stitches in the US. Due to the large amount, we had the option of having the insurance pay the bills directly. We obtained the extra detailed documentation needed and true traveller informed us that due to the cost higher than their threshold (of course, it's the US), this would need to be managed by their isurer AXA. AXA eventually (after follow-up messages) confirmed that everything was in order/approved and that the process of paying the medical bill took a long time. I understand the process in the US is likely more complicated than other countries, but it has now been 3 months, I am receiving repeated calls from the hospital asking for payment, reminder bills from the hospital saying now the bills will go to collection which means my credit will be negatively affected. This is unacceptable. They have also completely stopped responding to my last emails asking for a status update! So in short, if you are sure to only have minor non-US issues to settle, true traveller is great. If you think you might have a larger accident or are going to the US, be warned. AXA will need to get involved and they are not reliable. To be continued if they resolve this issue....

Overall good , we had a slight issue when my wife was in hospital in Nepal . But eventually they sorted the problem out once we put the claim through. I think personally the underwriting company (AXA) could word there policy slightly better to help the customer in Nepal as that’s where the insurance was for are trip .

Quick, no quibble response and repayment!
We found True Traveller to provide the best cover at the best price for our daughter's gap year. It then proved so quick and easy to claim for a 10-day piste closure in her ski resort, with full payment being made to us within a week of claiming! Dental treatment
I needed emergency dental treatment as I had toothache. I’m on a working holiday in Canada so dental is expensive I went yesterday payed for it my self and within 12 hours of submitting my claim form I have had the claim settled and will be reimbursed for my treatment. Extremely fast turn around and a easy claim form highly recommend!

Courteous, reactive, efficient and professional spring to mind. I was taken into and treated in hospital. I filed my claim on Friday, I received an acknowledgement immediately. Really impressed Truely…
I've been really impressed True Traveller and would highly recommend these guys. Having experienced an accident aboard from the moment we were in contact with them they supported to us from the moment we were admitted to hospital through to repatriation back to the UK. We can't fault their professionalism and support. Granted they want to do their due diligence and checks but once these are cleared they picked up everything else for us so we could concentrate on hospital care, accommodation and return home.
