After months of back and forth with RMS…
After months of back and forth with RMS and payments being taken from my account for a service which they never provided I don’t know what I am supposed to do. I am being charged for compliance on a card terminal that I was never given, I have never had a card terminal from RMS as I was told that they would be able to integrate with my shopify account. They never did, at least 10+ times I have asked for my account to be closed, I have been told that I don’t have an account, I have had them trying to sell me a card machine and I have been told that they aren’t taking payments from my account so it must be somebody else. I have been lied to over and over. Based on being told that the payment was not being taken by RMS I stopped the direct debit to then be contacted by Elavon in regard to a payment for RMS. Elavon have been very helpful in raising a complaint against RMS and are now helping me to my account closed.

I am currently in the process of setting up a new company which requires a payment system, naturally when setting up the necessary things needed ie phone lines, broadband,payment systems energy suppliers ect you shop around for the best deals suited to your needs. Having spoken with 4 companies prior, 2 of which had a representative come to meet me at my premisis I was then recommended RMS, because this was a recommendation from a good friend I rang to make some enquiries. I was completely shocked with the attitude and unprofessionalism I received from the person I spoke to I explained I had been given their number as a recommendation and wanted to enquire on the packages they offer... The man I spoke to very abruptly said "look I'm not here to play Dutch auctions i suggest you just go and do your research and if you want to get back to me ring me back" I shared my disappointment with my friend who then messaged him to which I had a phone call with an apology by this point it was too late, not only has my friend decided now not to use this company, but also my business and my partner's business. I was told there had been many malicious calls made which may be the case but that's no excuse to be rude to every possible customer who rings for a quote.

Avoiding to provide VAT invoice for cancellation fees
I have given my 30 day notice to cancel my contract and they happily accepted that and quoted the cancellation fee including VAT through email but they don't want to provide VAT invoice until my 30 days notice period is done but In my agreement its stated that if my cancellation is confirmed which they did in the email then they will issue the invoice with immediate effect that will be payable in my 30 days period. If you send Invoice after 30 days period in that case I have to pay for 2 month machine rental and I have to pay £25 minimum card payment charge for 2 months because I won't be able to use the machine because I have stop trading. All there customer service centre are based out of uk (India, Pakistan, Poland, Indonesia) that are quite hard to get hold off and they don't pick your call and if they do there lines are not clearly audible. If you can please avoid there services. Edit #1 I have been quoted over £3k including VAT in the email but when I ask to send it in invoice then it takes you 30 days to create a invoice. I am willing to pay as soon as possible but I think you don't want the money.
