The people we dealt with from the first pick up in the shuttle,then at the depot and again when we dropped the car off ,were all very friendly, and helpful.

Good car, good price.

Being a low-cost service there were some usual compromises, but it was a terrific service for us, for the price point. Location: To access their office/lot you will either need their shuttle service, a ride share/taxi or enjoy a walk. We did all three across various cities and it was perfectly convenient for the price point, and their shuttle we took in Auckland was prompt and friendly. Cars: we rented two cars on our trip and both had dings and scratches. With that said, the Omega staff walk around the car with you, note any imperfections on a chart and encourage you to also take photos of any and all parts of the car to give you peace of mind when it is time to return it. Both cars were mechanically sound and ran well, although the first car we had some apparent JDM aftermarket modifications that caused it to sound the horn at various moments while in park which was a bit annoying but when driving it was fine. We did almost 2000km over the course of the trip and both cars did the whole lot with no dramas, enabling us to focus on the beautiful roads and landscapes! Service: all of our experiences with staff were excellent and they were patient and helpful with any questions or confusion we had. Overall: It’s a budget service so the cars had some quirks and the office was out of the way, but the customer service was excellent and the cars were mechanically sound and clean. The money saved using Omega was well worth it and if we ever get to go back to NZ we will definitely rent from them again!
