Update: they are are even worse than I thought!

Further to my previous review I am still trying to get my account shut down and a correct final bill. Today I had 3 phone calls with Clear Business. I spent an hour on the phone with one agent who refused to accept that the bill was incorrect, she was clearly getting frustrated with my failure to accept her illogical explanation and eventually put me on hold and left me there! A subsequent call to another agent confirmed that the bill was indeed incorrect - while my electricity account has been shut down, the water account hadn't. Every time I speak to someone I get a different answer - I don't think any utility company has made me cry with frustration before! I have also been charged interest on the outstanding amount that I have been contesting while all the time requesting a correct final bill and I have been charged for paper bills (all sent to the wrong address!) despite requesting multiple times that they are emailed. All in all a pretty sorry outfit.

DO NOT USE !!

Filled out a change of tenancy after winding my business down- even this was difficult. They very obviously outsource their work. Once the workers over here have got you on board, these are the people you have to deal with. They never seem to know what’s going on, and give you empty promises. One of those promises being that I will receive a refund for my 2 payments taken from my account since stopping the business and letting them know. I was told that once the change of tenancy was processed I would get refunded in January. I put in a complaint due to the abysmal communication. I was hounded with calls this past week to see if I would close that complaint. SURPRISE SURPRISE ! Today I got a call from them, not about closing the complaint, but now saying I won’t get refund if I don’t have a meter reading for the day the unit was taken over. They are trying to say my estimated meter is now £195 and that I’m in debt with them, so no refund. I paid no more than £50 or there about on every other previous estimated reading. When questioned, the ‘worker’ couldn’t explain why it is now that high. I recorded this phone call, in which this same ‘worker’ admitted liability and said it was their fault and he is trying to rectify it by making me chase the landlord for a meter reading. He admitted fault multiple times until I informed him that the call was being recorded- and then suddenly it wasn’t his fault at all. Too late, it had already been recorded. If I do not hear back from the landlord, I will be taking legal action against the company and urge others to do the same. I will be taking them to the small claims court. Clear Business, do not bother with the generic cookie cutter reply to this review. I only want a response if you’re going to do something about this.

Well articulated business strategy

This company takes off stress from small businesses while they(the small businesses) channel more energy delivering their business services to their esteemed customers. Clear Business strategy is very unique and I truly love the business thinking pattern.

I PAY FOR A TERMINAL I DO NOT USE, I AM ASKED TO PAY EVEN MORE FOR NOT USING IT. horrible company to deal with.

horrible company to deal with. a regular sales person walks into my shop claims clear business has cheaper terminal fees options. his maths sum up to 15 pounds a month. I asked in total he said yes. he says clear business will buy me out of my existing terminal contract with natwest which was about 200 pounds. i sign up and i call for a buyout only to find out they will only cover 50 percent buy out cost, my first bill was 18 pounds plus another 15 pounds for world pay. the salesman intensionally left out a chunk of fees so as to make it seem cheaper. I call to cancel they threaten me with a 500 pounds early exit fees. I explain my experience with their sales person and they argue their staff is trained and must have disclosed everything to me before sign up. their sales person i found out works on commission so they under sale the cost to get you hooked then you see the big picture on your bills. to make it worse clear business now says since i am not using the terminal as often they will double my terminal fees. i explain that my shop is gone fully online i do not really use the terminal anymore though im still paying monthly for it.I PAY FOR A TERMINAL I DO NOT USE, I AM ASKED TO PAY EVEN MORE FOR NOT USING IT. IF YOU OWN A BUSINESS STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM CLEAR BUSINESS THEY ARE THE WORSE TO PARTNER WITH. IF YOU SEE THEIR SALES PERSON SEND THEM FAR AWAY. CLEAR BUSINESS IS THE WORSE. the customer service keeps insisting i must have been fully explained the full cost and every hidden cost before sign up which makes no sense why will I leave my current plan and go for a double fees. i realise im not alone many are hooked in this after all I signed their agreement and signed up. till the end of this contract which i cant wait to be done with i will continue to express my dissatisfaction. you can check your records you sent me an email about adding my fees since im not using your terminal, check your records i have called and explained why i dont use it even though i still pay for it. well, as again this part of adding up the fees if terminal is not used was deliberately left out by the sales rep. and in clear business defence its all in their terms and conditions.

Stay well clear

Please stay away from this company, very unprofessional and impossible to deal with. I changed my broadband and telephone over to them in December, I was given a start date, this past so I contacted them to question the date I was told that they give a rough date and mine would change over on the 6th January. This did happen but only the broadband. They told me that they forgot to do the phone and now got to wait over 8 days. When trying to sort it out not helpful at all and 3 days later still waiting for a manager to call
