I got the zigbee roller shades to use with zigbee2mqtt and Home Assistant. The shades look good and appear to be well made. I've purchased six of them, one would not pair with the zigbee controller. I contacted Smartwings and they sent me a new zigbee motor for the shade which worked without issue. zigbee2mqtt had an issue where the states were backwards. I was able to fix this by using the external converter that @nathankopp posted at GitHub user Koenkk repository zigbee2mqtt issue 13878 (sorry, links are not allowed in reviews). With everything set up, the shades have been working great for 7 weeks now. The shades are good quality at a very reasonable price.

Love the shades!! It was a little tricky at first to get them to work with Alexa, but Rachelle very patiently walked us through the process! She is the best!! We chose the 50% light filtering for the first two shades, but that was not a good choice for us - way too bright & no privacy! For the next several shades we chose the 70% blackout - they worked great for us! For the bathroom we used a 100% blackout and that is perfect for that space. But the 70% blackout also provides complete privacy - we used that in the guest bedrooms as well as in living areas - we like letting some light in when the shades are closed. It has been a few months since our first purchase and we couldn’t be happier!! We have recommended SmartWings shades to friends & family and we are looking for other rooms in our home where we can use them!

Greatest of service. They worked with me for weeks while I slowly made my decision. I went with almost all their suggestions (inside & outside mounts on the same west-side windows). I charged up my rollers 6 months ago and they are still going strong on the first charge. Great company, great prices, best service.

The blinds are nice and they are built well. They aren’t too loud, but they aren’t super silent like Lutron. They are a great middle ground between the ikea shades and lavishly overpriced Lutron though. The install is very easy. I highly recommend the solar adapter. It’s not clearly stated but you will need to buy the separate hub if you wish to use any smart features. At least for the zigbee/google home variant. I ended up getting that smart wings hub and it is nice, but ultimately I switched to a zigbee controller so I can use these shades in home assistant. that works great.

Everything went as expected except the motor came on the right. I ordered it to be on the left.
