Airn was a huge help and the reason I booked!

Airn was a huge help in booking my trip, she was kind, informative, patient, and gave me all the information I needed to book confidently with vacation offer.com, she went as far as to check the weather for me, compare prices at each hotel, and gave me the absolute best option available. She deserves a raise.

Our plans needed to change

We had booked a vacation to Florida, but my husband now has to travel with work those dates. When I called to change the package, Emily was very helpful and was able to get the changes made that I wanted. Thank you.

This is the most unprofessional company…

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever booked through. They don't mind putting their potential customers in the nastiest conditions and then do absolutely nothing to help when the customer is not satisfied. I spent $500+ to spend 5 minutes in the grossest hotel I have ever seen. Then had to find and book somewhere else.Complete scam!! I do not recommend.

CONCERNED, WARY, AND ULTIMATELY DISGRUNTLEDI

I recently was invited to a VacationOffer presentation in Las Vegas, NV. I purchased a $499 VO package and agreed to attend a presentation to learn about a vacation club that was not a timeshare pitch! The presentation was wonderful and the examples of cost-savings were AMAZING! And, after the presentation and speaking with the sales representative, and him giving a cursory explanation of how the service works and him offering great "perks" to sign-up, my husband and I decided to join ($5995.00 membership fee) and learned that we would be members of the VO Travel Club. While doing paperwork, we began to do more indepth questioning about how the service worked and how we were to receive our perks; which were, "free airline tickets for two"; 5 or 7 day cruise for two from Long Beach, gift cards to dinner spots, American Express gift cards etc. We learned that VacationOffer is not the company honoring the perks, but that perks are honored through a partner - third-party company, that clearly states they are not responsible for any promise that the partner vendor makes regarding travel offers. In addition, you have to mail in for the perks to the 3rd-party company, and it takes at least 21 days before you may get a response or know if you'll be able to travel to the destination of your choice or know where you'll be crusing to and where you'll be located on the ship. There are no lists of places or dates that are available; and there is no number or website to call or chat with the third-party vendor for clarity. I signed-up for the membership ($5995.00), but I left the presentation event uneasy and didn't sleep well that night. I decided to call the 800 number for VO to try to get answers to the things that were concerning to me, and quickly learned that there was no one available to talk with me, and I was told that my concerns were placed on an account manager's task list, but there was no way I could be guaranteed a callback time, a callback frame of time, a callback within 24 hours, or a guarantee that I'd be called back within two days because the account manager was very busy and she'd get with me when she could. THAT WAS IT FOR ME! I called the sales team who did the presentation, as it was less than 24 hours since I'd been in the presentation, and told them I wanted to CANCEL my membership. I was asked why; I was told that the vacation club is a good thing; I was offered a deeper discount for the membership; then, I was told that I couldn't cancel; I was told to send back the perks I was given at the presentation (which I responded I'd be glad to bring them back since I was still in the area); then I was told to call the Customer Care number because there were no refunds. (In other words, I had received no service at that point, but I couldn't get my money back!!!!! . . . which was $5995.00) Later that day - approximately 16 hours after the presentation - I got a call from "my account representative" who commenced to tell me that I couldn't cancel and couldn't get a refund because there is a NO REFUND clause in the agreement. What she didn't explain was the portion in the contract on Page 2, Section 5 - Plan Terms. Specifically, . . .Your personal Plan license account will be activated upon (i) the expiration of all statutory or contractual rescission periods .....which is at least 24 hours and could be as long as 5 days. However, the agreement states "14. Governing Law: This Agreement will be governed by and construed pursuant to the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions." I found the following on the internet with regard to Utah's thoughts on rescission (VO uses courts and laws of the state of Utah) What is the 3 day right to cancel in Utah? The cooling-off rule: If you buy something at your home, workplace, dorm, or at a short-term business place like a convention or hotel room rented by the seller, you get 3 DAYS AFTER THE SALE TO CANCEL IT! BE SURE TO ASK ABOUT THE RESCISSION PERIOD - HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY MIND? The timeframe is not listed in VactionOffer's agreement; I'm assuming that's purposeful. If VacationOffer.com is not willing to let you change your mind, work with your creditcard company. They will make you whole. My credit card company is a rockstar! After explaining my concerns about the company and how I suspected fraud and scamming since they didn't intend to refund my money even though I told them I changed my mind in less than 24 hours, they assured me that my card would not be charged - AND IT WASN'T! I hope this review is helpful for anyone contemplating joining the VO Travel Club. Sincerely! Date of experience: February 18, 2024
