I undertook some APC Valuation training with Nicholas Zorpides for my recent RICS APC interview. Whilst we only managed to book the training in at very short notice, Nicholas was able to co-ordinate a high level, fast paced series of sessions to readdress the fundamentals of Valuation, setting a series of mini tasks which we reported on at subsequent sessions, and he ensure we had a thorough understanding of Hardcore/Top layer and Term & Reversion methods, including the different scenarios in which we would use them. I would recommend Nicholas' valuation training for anybody who has previoiusly covered valuations and needs a refresher in advance of their APC.

Nicholas and Co were swift to reply to our original enquiry and arranged for the survey to take place within a week. I was pleased with the survey and Nicholas helpfully arranged for us to have a call to discuss it, he also took the time to offer potential solutions to the main problem highlighted which was really useful. There was a loft space that Nicholas was unable to access, so I sent a few photos photo after the event which he was happy to comment on. As a firm they were great to deal with and couldn’t do enough to help. A friend had recommended them to me and I would also recommend them highly.

Edit: Update: He has threatened to take me to court for this review. I think you now know what kind of person he is. He is being investigated by the RICS for my complaint. In response to the below: His website states 2 addresses which do not exist and I have had a lot of trouble with the court trying to identify his address. His company is held with a holding company. He has been a director of many companies which are no longer active. I have of course reported him to the RICS and have sent a letter before action. He has refused a refund and as yet has still not provide an appropriate valuation report. These kind of fraudulent surveyors should be removed from the register and I will be pursing this man vigorously through the courts Regarding his recording of calls this is illegal if not used for certain purposes and it is illegal to share with third parties including the existing of a recording as stated below. I will be contacting my legal representatives to take this further Dreadful Paid £400 for a market valuation. It took a week for the report. When it arrived it contained the wrong address and a valuation that was ridiculously low. When challenged he just says it is a draft. What is the point of paying £400 if he cannot value a simple studio flat. I have another survey from a reputable firm which shows that his valuation is over 40% below the market value. I have referred to RICS as he refused to provide complaints procedure and was rude on the phone. Currently taking to court to get a refund. Do not use - you have been warned.

Nicholas acted for me in a lease extension submission to a landlord. Nicholas carried out the valuation and subsequently led the negotiations with the landlord. The valuation was undertaken quickly and met my time constraints. Nicholas explained to me clearly and concisely every step of the valuation process. This was for me incredibly important as it enabled me to understand how the values were arrived at and avoided ambiguity going forward. During the negotiations with the landlords representative Nicholas expertly explained to me their position also. Due to Nicholas professional approach we very quickly arrived at an agreed outcome with the landlord. Nicholas Zorpides is without doubt an expert surveyor, lease extension valuer and a skilled negotiator. I was more than satisfied with the service provided and he has my complete recommendation.

We spent 2 years researching builders in the Bitterroot Valley. We reviewed websites, online reviews, and if possible, tried to go to open houses of previous homes they had built. We had it narrowed down to 2-3 builders and what sealed it for us was the level of detail and pictures that Big Sky Builders had on their website. Big Sky Builders of Victor Montana is extraordinary. After our very first meeting with them we knew this was the builder we wanted to build for us. We learned so much about them in our very first meeting, 2nd generation builders, quality homes that have won awards, and very honest, especially about what they can provide with the budget you bring them. The most impressive thing to us was their ability to provide a build schedule and to keep to it. When we approved the plans, they provided a schedule and they delivered. When our build started, they told us our move in date would be 3/9/2023 and on that date it was ours to start moving in! They have an app that allows you to have all the information available to you, schedule, selections of material and finishes and the ability to communicate directly with them regarding any one of those topics so there is no confusion about what faucet goes on what sink or the flooring for each room. We provided them a floor plan that we liked, and they were able to make changes to customize the space to be uniquely ours. They also have floor plans that they can provide if you need. They scheduled all our appointments with the product vendors, so we had someone there to guide us in our selections of lighting, flooring, cabinets and countertops. We appreciated that because we are not designers! They are up to date on current building standards, and they make sure that no corners are cut. The project manager visited the site regularly and would make sure things were to the Big Sky standard and if there were issues, they were quick to have them corrected. The Big Sky team is very responsive when you have questions, and they are proactive when there is a need to advise you of a change to the schedule or a delay in materials. We never felt as though we weren’t sure what was next, we could always send a message or check the schedule and get the answers we needed. We are so grateful for the honest and caring way that they built our home. We have been moved in now for about 3 months and every single day we appreciate the work that they put in, especially through this winter build. The Big Sky team took care to make sure this dream home of ours was everything that we wanted, and by doing that, they took great care of us!

We used PermaFrame (Frome) a few years back to install a side PVC glass door. It has been superb, and completely trouble free apart from this friday, as we were preparing to go on holiday, we couldnt lock the door properly. We called PermaFrame and got transferred to their swindon Branch. They were so helpful and on hearing we were supposed to be off on holiday, sent an engineer to solve the problem who arrived in less than 15 minutes! The process of putting in double glazing windows has seemed straightforward to a couple not convinced it was the way to go. We were a little apprehensive as it is an old house. Hi folks, I had a problem recently with the oil burner leaking. It's over 30 years old but usually performed well up to now. I phoned Tweeds, and immediately was put at ease by Gemma and Lisa.
