£1600 spent, 1 month, 2 no shows and 1 wrong product

£1600 spent 1 month ago, delivery date confirmed a week later but no show on day and no contact. I had to chase delivery company who were very apologetic and confirmed they would deliver 2 days time as per my request. However wrong product turned up and was traced back to paving superstore issue, not sending out right product. No contact from them despite me chasing and chasing. Get random text it is arriving in two days time only for another no show. still no communication. Edit - Finally the slabs showed up on the Monday, unfortunately some damaged, but overall the product looks good. Main reason for 2 stars is the lack of communication which was compounded by the MDs response after everything has been resolved. Rather than just coming in with a "sorry no-one let you know what was going, we had some issues but glad you've got your item now" (a textbook customer service response) they actually tried to apportion blame elsewhere and suggest even I was at fault... I will be interested to see what their response is to this. I think the 2 stars is more than fair from my experience.

Monolithic

Well, i'll be happy if the stone looks exactly like it does on the site. I found the site very easy to use and the prices of the stone were very reasonable

Would Not Recommend

I have rated this company based on the complete experience of placing an order with them. I placed an order on Friday 23/04/21 for some paving slabs which were showing in stock on their website. I received a confirmation email on Monday 26/04/21 from the transport company advising that they would be delivering the order. I then received an email from the Paving Superstore on Thursday 28/04/21 advising me that their supplier had a stock discrepancy and the product i ordered was unavailable. I was told it would not be available until mid May and i agreed to put it on backorder. I contacted the Paving Superstore on Friday 14/05/21 for an update and was told containers were due in and that they "would let me know for sure on the Monday the status of the stock". I was not contacted on the Monday so i contacted them again on Tuesday 18/05/21 for an update. I received a reply on Wednesday 19/05/21 advising the stock was still not available. As it was now beginning to drag on i found an alternative product in stock on their website and asked if i could change my order. I received an email confirming the change to my order on Friday 21/05/21 and was told i should see my order by the end of the following week which should have been by 28/05/21. When i did not receive an email from the transport company i contacted the Paving Superstore again on Tuesday 25/05/21 to advise them. I was told i would not be receiving my order that week and that it would now be by the end of the following week the 04/06/21. This was confirmed to me by email on the 27/05/21 by the Paving Superstore, stating that the order had gone to transport, and also by the transport company. The delivery date was not met and again i had to contact the Paving Superstore on Monday 07/06/21 for an update. It was at this point they claimed that they had never given me a delivery date, which they had on two occasions. I was also told that deliveries to Scotland were an issue even though i had been told previously that the backlog in Scotland had been cleared. I was then informed that they had arranged for the transport company to collect my order from Colchester when it was actually in Birmingham so this meant they would now have to change the transport company. This was obviously the real reason behind the delay. I then received an email confirming that they had arranged an express delivery and i would receive my order on Wednesday 09/06/21. Again the delivery was not met. I have now finally received my order, 11/06/21, but i could not recommend this company. They are too quick to blame the transport companies when things go wrong and they must understand that i am their customer not the transport company's customer. From the day the order is placed until the day the order is delivered it is their responsibility.

Rubbish Service

I’d love to review the item I paid for on 24th April....it’s 10th June today, however, it hasn’t arrived and in addition to that, Paving Superstore do not answer emails or their phone to explain why my item (which I have for a paid for) hasn’t appeared! Really disappointing customer service. Not acceptable in this day and age. Won’t be buying from here again.

Not what I expected

Not what I expected. Placed a order and staff confirmed that they can deliver within 3-5 days. I phoned today for an update and messaging has changed as its approximately 3-5 days delivery taking into account national shortage of drivers, delays at hub / local delivery center etc.... all the usual excuses. Very keen when placing an order and once order place not helpful. I asked the call center staff why I was given false information, no meaningful response receoved. Very unhelpful

Great natural stone few issues couldnt get our last order, as it was from India, found us a very good match. Problems with them sending emails to confirm order. After several long costly phone calls a lovely lady got it sorted. Promised a delivery arrived on time.

Absolutely useless, were told road was narrow, said it would go out on smaller truck,it didn’t,then couldn’t get up road.Went back to pallet company who said they would deliver next day to an alternative address, pavingsuperstore blocked until we agreed to pay an extra £108 to re-deliver. We ended up going to pallet depot and collecting ourselves as was needed next day. No customer service at all, they couldn’t care less.Would highly recommend you avoid them, lets face it what kind of amateur outfit relies on pallet companies. Avoid

Very happy

I ordered three pallets of porcelain tiles. They were dispatched extremely promptly and the delivery company (Palletways) called three days after ordering to advise they were at my local depot and to arrange a day to deliver. The tiles were well packaged and although I expected some may be damaged due to the nature of the product, I have not yet found any to be. The tiles look fantastic, were a good price and delivery was very fast - what's not to like?
