Hugely disappointed- quality of rattan is terrible

So disappointed with the rattan garden dining sets we have purchased from this company. We have had 2 sets of rattan garden furniture from Moda and the quality is terrible. The first set was replaced after 5 years, because the rattan split in numerous places on the table, and now we are experiencing the same problem with the second set but this time worse. It has split in so many places there are now huge divets. This set was supposed to have a 7 year guarantee but because it was bought before the company was taken over last July, they have basically washed their hands of any responsibility. They are still selling the same set 'Turnbury', most likely by the same supplier on their website- AVOID at all costs, quality is rubbish!!

Helpful lady but sadly very disappointing experience

Helpful lady in the Chelmsford showroom. Sadly delivery dates or items we ordered and paid for were not kept to. We ended up having to make do with different sofas not the ones we chose. Side table melted on second use so I’m currently trying to cancel the coffee table we are still waiting for but no answer at the show room and the number on the website does not work!

Customer service terrible

Customer service terrible. I’ve used moda in the past and rated them highly. However my recent experience has been terrible. I’ve lost count of the time I’ve spent on hold when I try to call. When I speak to someone it is very hard to communicate clearly. Delivery takes weeks for even small items, and the company never delivers when they say the will. If it wasn’t so frustrating it would be comical! I will not be shopping with moda again. Which is disappointing.

Great Customer Service agent Alisha…

Great Customer Service agent Alisha Khalid and problem solving. I recieved my order and had a few minor defects to which I wasn't happy, but I understand these things happen. I called the customer service team and spoke to Alisha Khalid, she's was fantastic. Guided my through every step of the process and helped me send photos to her email to understand 100% the issues. I was given options for a solution to which I was happy with. Thanks Team Moda and especially Alisha Khalid she is asset to your team... 5 Stars!

Complete lack of understanding

Really bad service. I’ve bought a water feature and all that was delivered was a plastic bucket one day late. I’ve tried calling the call centre and told 63 times that “my call is important” whilst I waited 40 minutes for my call to be answered. I was then cut off and only after ringing back was told there was nothing they could do today but they’ll come back to me. No escalation process or real understanding of the problem combined with a language barrier that made it even more confusing and difficult to understand what the girl was talking about. I’ve just bought the world’s most expensive bucket….

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. TOTAL NIGHTMARE. Lovely furniture but AWFUL customer service which is a huge let down for a product that is VERY EXPENSIVE. I ordered an outdoor setting in December 2023 and was told delivery would take 3-4 months which was fine as I did not need the items in a hurry but then one day before the agreed delivery date I was told the table I wanted was not in stock and the item had been discontinued! I find it very hard to believe that the company could not have worked this out before this and I had no choice but to accept an alternative product and received a small refund for the price difference. As if this was not bad enough when the delivery day came the team tried to deliver it at 6:30am on a Saturday! Needless to say I was asleep and had to wait on hold for an hour to speak to someone to re-arrange delivery for an agreed date. The last straw was when one week later I received email confirmation for a totally different delivery date! I do not live full time at the delivery address and had already made travel arrangements to be there for the agreed delivery date. CANNOT RECOMMEND, DO NOT USE.

Really made to feel welcome visiting the Chelmsford showroom, special thanks to Claire. Parking is available at the back, and friendly support is given to log the car registration to qualify for free use. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for garden furniture.

Absolute shocking service from start to finish…..

I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the level of customer service I have experienced. On three separate occasions,I have rearranged my schedule to accommodate a delivery, only to be informed that it would not be arriving as promised. This is not only inconvenient but also quite disappointing. The management of this business should ensure that the individuals responsible for these commitments are held accountable. It is not acceptable to assure a customer of a delivery when there is uncertainty about its arrival. This kind of misinformation not only disrupts the customer's plans but also erodes trust in your services. Furthermore, we reached out to your delivery service provider, Premier Deliveries, who assured us of a delivery slot between 7am and 11am on a Saturday morning. I personally sacrificed a family gathering to wait for this delivery, only to be informed at 11.30am that it was never going to arrive. This was not just a letdown, but an absolute shocking. I believe that there is room for significant improvement in your customer service and delivery commitments. I hope that my feedback will be taken into consideration and that necessary changes will be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future.
