What? No spare parts?

I own a Unicorn 3 Cordoba which unfortunately sustained damage early last year. To allow me to start using my caravan again, my repairers have all parts to make a full repair with the exception of 1 specific (and vital) item. From the middle of last year, the Prima Leisure website has always shown an estimated despatch date for this part (usually 4-6 weeks) but just like that proverbial dangling carrot, keeps moving it further and further back. It never arrives! Disappointingly, we started with despatch dates in September 2022 and it has trundled on until now, with their website is now showing the middle of March 2023. I now fear that I will lose yet another year's use of my caravan - I currently have a one that cost me a lot of money sitting idle and unused. I am not impressed with the way Bailey Caravans treat their customers. I'll be interested to hear if they have anything to say (but I'm not holding my breath!).

Bailey Motorhome Spare Supply issues

If you are thinking of buying a Bailey product your should be aware of the issues Bailey are having with the supply of spares. Our motorhome was delivered with a defective cab roof window blind. Thinking this was not a big issue, we took delivery with a promise from the dealership that a replacement blind was on order. More fool us ! Seven months later and still no blind, with Baileys blaming supply chain issues. Reading other posts on this website, this seems to be far from uncommon. From my experience, and others on this site, Bailey seem to be struggling to support their products and seem to prioritise selling new over supporting existing customers.

Warranty Transfer

Have just bought Bailey secondhand and have transferred warranty, which went very smoothly, so no complaints.

Poor Response

Ive just received a reply from Bailey aftercare from my previous post about the length of time it takes to get warranty work completed. It now transpires that it is going to take longer than originally anticipated and even that end date cannot be guaranteed. It amazes me how this company gets away with its excuses it’s only answer to any post about it is to contact its customer aftercare and they give you the same answer as your original complaint.Come on Bailey get your finger out and sort things out

Bailey Phoenix 440 2022

Improvement of build quality of the bailey Phoenix range. Very badly put together. Extremely flimsy construction inside. Things always falling apart virtually every time we use it. Very disappointed in our purchase. This is the 9th caravan we have owned and definitely the worst by far.

Look after your customers

Had our van a year, still waiting for parts from Bailey that are to be replaced under warranty. They appear not to be interested once they have sold you your van. The van is nice but your customer service is appalling. We are still waiting for a replacement fridge door, reported at purchase, the seating just creases, still awaiting a replacement from Bellfield. The front infinity window blind is not fit for purpose, Bailey are supposed to be sorting this, but nothing has happened as yet. Awaiting new self closing runners for drawers and some trim at the front. It cannot be that difficult to sort, but it is. Not happy at all.

Heartbroken

Shody workmanship from start to finish. £30K van and 12 months on and still awaiting parts so repairs can be carried out. Bailey's simply don't care. Dealer in an impossible position, and no one at Bailey's give a monkeys. This is our third Baileys, and will be our last. Customer service , what customer service?

S5 Vigo

S5 Vigo - nice design but very poorly built - fault after fault after fault! Bailey’s & Lowdhams Caravans after sales service is non existent! We bought the caravan in January 2022 & started reporting faults on the same day we collected it - the PDI from Lowdhams missed that the toilet flush did not work, the wrong handbook was supplied & the battery terminals were not tight plus all water pipe connections under the sink were loose. They were just the starter faults! Warped doors & panels needed replacing as did all of the crews fastening doors to cabinets as doors kept falling off. The front drawers collapsed, the fridge door fell off, the shower cubicle silicone has nearly all peeled off where the walls meet the shower tray, the awning skirt mounting rail was incorrectly fitted, the entrance door chill fell off, the glass top on the hob fell off while we were travelling, impossible to slid the spare wheel out from under the caravan as the carrier tubes had not been greased. This is not the full list of repairs required! Lowdhams have not repaired anything or contacted me without me ringing or emailing them - the only thing they ever say is that they are waiting for parts from Bailey - ITS NOW MORE THAN A YEAR SINCE I FIRST STARTED REPORTING FAULTS!!!!!! I have repaired everything myself that doesn’t require parts from Bailey as I became fed up with waiting for Lowdhams to do any repairs & we wanted to use our caravan. Oh, I forgot - the water pump failed in France last July - rang Lowdhams who did not answer the phone or respond to the message I left - rang Whale in Ireland who were not interested in helping at all or interested in having the failed pump posted to them to enable them the investigate why it failed (my assumption is that they know the pumps seize up - a friend of mine had the same model Whale pump fail in the same way 2 weeks previously). I found a dealer in Northern France who had stock so I ordered 2 pumps which arrived at the site we were on 4 days later. Bailey now say that the required parts will be delivered to Lowdhams on the 17th of February - this is the 3rd date I have been given so I will believe it when they finally arrive. Needless to say I will not buy another Bailey Caravan & sad to say I would have serious doubts about buying another caravan from Lowdhams (this is the 4th caravan we have bought from them)
