Just called Tandem to ask a question regarding my account. Despite the warning message telling me 'we are experiencing a high volume of calls' my call was answered within a minute. The very efficient staff member dealt with my query and was able to set up something I couldn't access online. 10/10 for customer service.

App works well and once a verified account is added, seamless experience adding and removing money.

Access to funds possible without login security - USERS BEWARE I thought I was mistaken when I experienced this a few months ago but it happened again today and I video recorded it to be sure. I hadn't used the app for a month or two and it didn't offer me the biometric login, as usual. Instead, it had a warning comment, which I don't recall, and instead offered me to enter my phone number and it would send me a code via text, which it did. I gave the phone permission to copy the texted code and straightaway it opened my app into my account. THERE WAS NO PERSONAL SECURITY STEP OF ANY KIND. ANYONE IN POSSESSION OF MY PHONE COULD HAVE ACCESSED MY ACCOUNT! The most shocking thing is that upon calling Tandem straightway to explain their absence of security, and to close my account, the agent simply explained what should happen about some intervening stage to enter some other code (private to me, from account setup). I had to make the point several times that they had to raise this urgently but there was no such intention on the agent's mind until the third time of explaining. Tandem singularly and absolutely failed to grasp how dangerous their app is, under these circumstances. I don't care that most of the time (and in my case, today, straight after this free for all access), I logged back in and was presented with my fingerprint screen, as normal. Would you trust your savings to an app that can, even only occasionally, requires nothing more than the operator (finder/thief) of a mobile phone to enter a code that Tandem freely texts you, to give access to your money? I certainly will not. I have withdrawn my cash and WILL NEVER USE TANDEM AGAIN. I simply cannot believe how appalling this is that my money was so insecure and all they could do was tell me how they think it works! Ps I have a Samsung galaxy s20fe on latest android Reply to Tandem 08-Mar: CLEARLY SECURITY OF CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS IS NOT YOUR PRIORITY AS YOU WILL DISCOVER WHEN YOU LISTEN TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE ON THE RECORDING OF MY CALL. EQUALLY CLEARLY , THE AGENT DID NOT RELAY THIS AFTER MY CALL. IT TOOK THIS REVIEW TO GET YOU TO TAKE ACTION. SHAME , SHAME SHAME ON TANDEM BANK ! i no longer care what you do as you will not be doing it with my money.

I have lost all confidence in the app
I have lost all confidence in the app. It never manages to do even simple transfers: The app gives me an error and tells me to try later. I am really worried to add more money in the savings account in case I can't get the money back when I need it. I will contact the helpdesk but what is the point to have an app if you need to troubleshoot everything?
