If you're not convinced yet reading these reviews here's yet another clue as to who you will be dealing with: - they're not responding to emails. - on chat they're promising to call you back, they never do. - over the telephone they're promising to call you back, they never do. - tracked letter sent by Royal Mail (to the address provided in the Welcome Pack) bounced back as unable to locate / identify the recipient. Trustpilot is asking to "leave out offensive words" and I did. That was the most difficult part of the review.

I've never ever thought an energy…

I've never ever thought an energy company could be this bad. There's no portal to register meter readings. You never know if your account is in credit or in deficit, you just receive invoices. I advised the company I was leaving in February and provided final readings. Since then I've sent countless emails, phoned the company many times, tried to raise a complaint - all to no avail. I just receive new invoices, and reminders that I missed the last payment. The back office seems to be located in South Africa and appear to be absolutely hopeless.

Keep away from this company very poor Customer Service Charged me twice when u call them say Accounts department will call back.....,no one ever calls you back Luckily under Direct Debit guarantee my bank got money back Wrote a complaint email someone called back told them same thing I repeated, said Account department will call back Talked to someone on chat same useless advice they will call back and sort everything out I have just switched away from this dismal company Update 9 days later called again yesterday as no one from the ‘Account Department’ called back. Very poor service still not sorted..............

Abysmal

Abysmal. I was switched to NEO by Switchcraft. (Also abysmal). Their communication is terrible and you can't get hold of them when you have a problem. I started paying via debit card then they sent me an emsil asking me to set up a GoCardless ddr payment instead. But they still kept taking visa payments too. When I reslised this I emailed them details and they DENIED it. They owe me money and I can't get an answer. Their phone number is pointless. Their excuse that they are only a small company and that they only have a small set up is BS. DO NOT GO WITH NEO ENERGY. SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Poor website

Yes they have a low tariff BUT the website is very unfriendly. No portal to submit a meter reading and the emailed invoice has no details of usage or even my account number. I do not know if I am in credit or deficit!!

These reviews are of great value

I looked online and found Neo had the cheapest energy rates around. Yesterday morning I went online for a quote expecting to get an instant online response. Waited an hour then rang their customer service line to ask about the quote. The response was, this is customer service and you need sales. They put me through to Sandy who emailed me the tariffs. I agreed to switch. Then I read the reviews here and changed my mind. I would rather pay more elsewhere. I emailed Sandy less than an hour after talking to her and stated I had changed my mind. I also asked her not to switch my supply, not to set up a direct debit and not to take any money from my account. I also sent the same email to their help email. I asked them to confirm back to me that my requests would be adhered to. I didn’t receive any response although I did get a confirmation that they had received my email. ( always good in court). I sent the same emails again today. No response so far. It appears the reviews here are well founded. Watch out for an update. If they take any money from my account, they will have breached the direct debit rules and my bank said it will pursue them

Do not go with this company

Do not go with this company. They are cheaper but they are poor. I started on a DD, they took one payment and then didn’t apply for another. Now send me invoices for £15 a month more than first agreed. When you phone them the lady says ‘they’ will be in touch. They never do. I am 45 and have never had the urge to write a review before but I hope this helps people not to go through the pain with them. Terrible service on a grand scale. AVOID!

AVOID!

Citizens Advice energy comparison site shows that Neo Energy have the cheapest dual fuel tariff (only beaten by separate suppliers), therefore, I requested a quote and unlike other suppliers you have to wait for a callback, however, after 3 weeks I'm still waiting!
