Random changes to billing and incorrect emails sent
I’ve been registered with bunch for over a year - have received alarming emails welcoming me as a new customer and that I need to contact my current provider to make a switch - no response from emails despite emailing over 2 weeks ago! My monthly energy bill has increased despite not going over usage and no explanation has been offered regarding this. Customer service has been appalling and I’m left completely in the dark! I’ve emailed so many times and at points haven’t heard back in over 2 weeks. I’ve logged a complaint via email and was told on the phone a case had been opened and I would hear back within 48 hours - it’s now been 2 weeks and nothing. I have resorted to leaving this review as I am desperate for help.

If i could give no stars i would. i was with this company from sept 2023 to sept 2024 for dual fuel. when i reached the end of my contract i got a bill for £595 which i diden't know anything about. They took the money from my bank account without my knowledge and left us £595 in debt. I've had to take a bank loan out as all my direct debits were going out within days of each other. I was told it was for over usage from May to August we have lived on salads all over the summer so am shocked as to where this has come from. I wanted the meters checked but they said that i will have to do it, PLEASE AVOID!!!!

I have only been with The Bunch for about 3 months and had such a terrible experience. The first issue was me being sent continuous bills by Thames Water saying I had an unpaid balance, when The Bunch was supposed to be paying this balance for me. I raised this with them and it took over a month to resolve, and I kept on getting emails saying the team is “investigating the problem” and would never be told what the issue was. I had to follow up and enquire numerous times with both The Bunch and Thames Water until I finally got them to sort the issue out. The second issue was with my meter readings - I am new to the UK and did not know how smart meters worked, but I initially called the help center and asked how to submit my opening meter readings. I was advised to do it from the smart meter, which I did and my meter readings were approved on the platform. After 2 months I was told my payments were increasing, which I emailed about to look into. I was given this response when I sent updated meter readings: “ I'm afraid we don't accept meter readings from in home devices only the meter's attached to the home.” I don’t understand how I was advised to do something by the call center, and the initial readings were accepted, but when I email to ask why my monthly payments are going up I get told something completely different. The third issue was when I initially switched to the bunch, the old service provider sent me a bill for the first 2 weeks as it took approximately this long to switch providers. I again called the call center, and was told they can see on their side it took about 11 days to switch over, so they will be refunding me for electricity and gas for 2 weeks. I asked if they needed to see the bill, and was told no. I waited a month and was unable to see the refund get credited to my account. I followed up via email, and again was met with a conflicting response saying they are unable to process a refund without seeing the bill. I got rid of it ages ago after I was told this wasn’t needed. I don’t understand why I am told one thing over the phone, but when I follow up on what The Bunch said they will do, I am told something completely different. Overall this has caused way more stress than it’s worth. I want to try and get out of the contract asap and just handle the bills myself at this point

A total scam of a company
A total scam of a company. Started with them in March, took money monthly from my account to supposedly pay for water, electricity and gas. They kept charging me only to find out they never paid any single utility bill for months. Countless emails and calls with no solution. My account was canceled in July, it is October and still chasing them to hand over and reimburse me for the gas bill.

I wish there were no star options as well! Terrible experience with this company! no update on the bills. it is now 5 month that my contract ended with them but they've not yet cleared the account! apologies after apologies !!!

Well where to start .. if I could give 0 star review I definitely would do so .. First let me start by saying they are scammers and you should definitely NO trust them!! As everyone else says it’s true they are scammers I sign up with them in February and by July I already had and increase from 148 to 175 they try to justify by saying everything cost more and been naive I believe them also because there was not such a big difference.. And now 2 months later they increase my bill to 342 without any explanation try to called them so many times and I keep been repeat the same thing .. the financial team will contact you it’s been weeks I call everyday but nothing you can’t get transferred and they do not have any other number to be contacted.. I change supplier and still can close my account with them because agin the financial team it’s in charge and still no call .. I have disposte all my payments except the one with the original payment agreed on contract and now I will have to wait because they just keep lending me one .. the funny part it’s that I do not even overuse because one of the operators after been questioned so many times admitted that I did not overuse.. so you scammers own me a refund .. They should get sue by every single costumer you had been fraud!!! Do not trust them .. I will worn every one as much as I can DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM they will SCAM YOU and all their positive reviews are FAKE
