After 2 Nhs surgery cancellations due to coronavirus and nearly a year of rapid decline in vision, I was fortunate enough to be able to have private bilateral cataract eye surgery undertaken by Mr Maurino at Moorfields Private. It is the best decision I have ever made! From being so visually impaired, it has been astounding to have my vision (and life) restored. It is difficult to know where to start to describe the care I received from the Team at Moorfields - caring, helpful, expert, empathising, efficient, organised, interested, friendly, calm, attentive....... Every Team member I met was courteous and helpful and the location feels like a hotel! In particular, Mr Maurino's Secretary, Ana Santos, was incredibly empathising with my situation and very efficient in explaining procedures and organising my appointments. I felt Ana was just as excited as me and was genuinely pleased to see my overjoyed reaction after the surgery had restored my vision. It is clear that Mr Maurino has an enormous passion for the work he does and exudes expertise in eye health. Mr Maurino and the Medical Team were amazing and efficient. I felt so reassured and calm before, during and after surgery. I really can't thank them enough. It is incredible to be able to see (even clearer than I ever have) and was a life changing event. Having laser surgery has been something I have been considering for a very long time. Being a veterinarian my eyesight is very important to me and my work. I suffered with astigmatism and was struggling to find contacts that offered the vision I wanted. I could not get it good enough to work without glasses. Finally I took the plunge and gone for a consultation. Moorfields was always going to be the place to go and Mr Maurino came highly recommended. I was not disappointed. The whole team took care of me every step ot the way. I felt comfortable making the decision to commit to surgery. The results are great with me being glasses free for the first time in almost 30 years. Best thing I have ever done and great consultant and team looking after me. Highly recommend.

From booking my initial consultation where they were able to squeeze me in earlier; to the procedure where was in and out before I knew it, with a great team that were so good, they kept any nerves I had at bay; to the aftercare. This was my second procedure with Mr. Maurino. The fist was Lasik back in 2006. After nearly a decade of vision without glasses my eyesight started to change a little to the point where I started to need glasses some of the time. After a couple of years with the glasses I decided to see if a second surgery was possible so visited Mr Maurino again to see what my opinions were. He recommended Trans-PRK and after some consideration I went ahead. I am now enjoying excellent vision without glasses once again! I was extremely well informed and cared for all the way through the process and have every confidence in Mr. Maurinio and his team.

Mr Maurino is amazing - he's not just a world class surgeon but a lovley person who kept me informed and calm throughout the process. Ana is also fantastic and all the staff. I was well looked after and made to feel at ease always. I was nervous on the day off surgery but it was v simple and painless, that night it was a little sore but worn off the next day. I have perfect results so could not be happier - I can't recommend Moorfields and Mr Maurino highly enough!

Absolutely brilliant service from Dr Maurino and his team. Friendly and professional throughout. Surgery was extremely quick and painless. I had a little scare during after-care where my eyes were burning but I quickly made an appointment and everything was taken care of easily and efficiently. It's been about six months since the surgery and my eyes are perfectly fine - with even higher than 20/20 vision! I want to say a huge thank you to Vincenzo and the team for their hard work and professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
