very professional service, procedure was expertly handled and there were lots of checks and assessments done before and after. i was kept fully appraised of all the options.

My experience was very good and I would recommend the staff and Mr Maurino. I had no reservations on the day of the operations which I thought I would as I had never even had to administer eye drops before so this was a big decision. I am happy that now no glasses needed. I returned to work almost immediately in the office. Only now night driving seems a bit daunting with halos from everyone's car lights but this should fade with time I am told. The only thing I would say was waiting for the operations on the day was unexpectedly long but I was out of the hospital at the destined time. Now I only need some chic sunglasses!

A friend who was delighted with her vision after having multifocal lens replacements recommended Mr Maurino to me. It took 15 months to pluck up the courage to make the initial appointment. At the consultation Mr Maurino was extremely pleasant and professional, so in spite of my excessive anxiety about the procedure I felt confident enough to decide to go ahead. I also opted for multifocal lenses as it seemed sensible to completely remove the need for glasses. The actual operation was very quick and painless and exactly as described in the brochure, with the feeling of running water passing over the eye and bright lights above. Within 24 hours I could tell that I had very clear vision in the first eye and once the second was done a week later it was perfect. After four weeks I have slightly better than 20/20 vision and am absolutely thrilled. As warned, there is some haloing around headlights at night, although I'm told this should diminish with time. Regaining the excellent sight I enjoyed up to the age of 40 is like travelling back in time - almost miraculous. I would strongly recommend Mr Maurino to anyone considering lens implant surgery; you will be in excellent hands.

Eye surgery is not an easy choice. Careful consideration is needed for both safety and cost. I approached Mr Maurino because he was recommended to me by my own optometrist, and because he worked under the world famous umbrella of Moorfields. Mr Maurino was most careful in explaining to me the procedures needed and their benefits and drawbacks. He gave me plenty of time to consider my choices. The actual procedures itself was very straightforward with Mr Maurino explaining every step of the way. I was always reassured that I could contact the surgery if I had any concerns at anytime. This was most helpful as the days following surgery can be a little daunting. Mr Maurino is a most professional and knowledgeable individual and I felt very well cared for.

I had cataract surgery performed by Mr Vincenzo Maurino at the Moorfields Eye Hospital and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. My whole experience was all first rate. I felt completely safe in Mr Maurinos care. He communicated all options and information clearly. His entire team, from the pre- and post-surgery care to the actual surgery to his administration were wonderful to deal with. In particular Sue and Ana on his administrative team were both very available and calmly and quickly helped with any questions and concerns, as did Mr Maurino. The outcome of some complex surgery carried out by Mr Maurino following a serious sporting injury to my eye has greatly surpassed my expectations. He is no doubt a brilliant surgeon. My case was unusual in that the injury resulted in a need for complex cataract surgery together with significant repairs to a damaged iris and misshaped pupil. Clear vision in my right eye has been restored and the problems of glare resulting from the accident eliminated. I simply wasn’t expecting to have all the issues resolved without the need for further surgery. I would strongly recommend him for this type of surgery.
