Switching problem solved!
I had a problem while trying to switch to London Power on their website and needed advice on how to resolve it. I e-mailed as suggested. Amazingly, the response came within the hour from Deepti, who was able to tell me what to do. I followed her advice and am now signed up to London Power (which is apparently part of Octopus Energy). Deepti’s quick response has got me off to a positive start! Excellent customer relations!
Easy to use and helpful responses
Really pleased with the service I'm getting from London Power, so I've renewed for another year. Logging meter readings is simple and when my agreement came to an end I was transferred onto the lowest (rather than highest, as with previous suppliers) cost new tariff. I emailed a question about this and Sophie responded quickly and helpfully. Recommend this supplier.

Simple to use and great customer service
First off, the marketing about this being a "new kind of energy company launched by the Mayor of London" is nonsense. It probably took him five minutes to come up with, by white-labelling an existing Octopus Energy product. Fortunately he white-labelled an excellent product. Submit your meter readings monthly and you get a statement within a couple of hours. Decide on your own monthly payment level (within reason). 100% renewable electricity, with an option to offset carbon emissions on gas, and a further option to plant trees. And it's consistently within a few pounds of the cheapest suppliers on uswitch (although you have to tick the option to unhide suppliers where they don't get a kickback). Best of all, however, is the customer service. There's a simple email address for all queries, which have always been answered within a couple of hours. No webforms, chatbots, community-based support or other rubbish. I really can't rate London Power or Octopus Energy any more highly.

Today I was efficiently assisted by James Smith who helped me in understanding my bill. I sent a request last night around midnight and, in the early morning, I got the answer. James was very professional, concise and clear in replying to my request. I am very pleased with his help and happy I have renewed my contract with London Power. Their customer service is brilliant and there is no price for this.
Amazing customer service
I recently joined London Power and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far. They're good value. I'm stuck on a prepayment meter for the moment and switching to London Power will save me about 20% over the next year compared with British Gas, based on my average usage. I had to get in touch to switch – I couldn't use an auto switching service as a prepayment customer – but they made the process incredibly easy and seamless. They sent out new key and card, and all I had to do was insert them into my meter for a minute to switch tariff. London Power handled everything else. Customer service has also been amazing so far. They prefer you to email, but you usually hear back within a couple of hours. And on the two occasions I had to phone I got through to someone in less than a minute. The contrast with British Gas couldn't be more stark – last time I phoned them I was waiting for 45mins. All their staff have been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful so far. I'll be recommending them to all my family and friends
