I have numerous customers with the Roost and Root coops. I always suggest them for two reasons. They are laid out well and they resell exceptionally well when you are ready to go bigger. I have the Grub Cone and the chickens think it's called snack bar. They treat it more like a water cooler as they hang around and when a bug falls out it must sound like a gong to them as they all rush over. Many times several of them take off with a prize running feverishly to enjoy their prize not realizing there were enough prizes for all.

I purchased a Roost over Run coop for my chickens and although the structure itself is very well made and sturdy the design is very poor. It's supposed to be for up to 10 chickens. I have only 5 and there's always a problem with them trying to lay as the lay box only fits two chickens at a time. My 5 chickens just about fit on the roost poles really not leaving enough room for any more chickens. The feed tube always gets stuck with feed and it doesn't fall down for the chickens to feed from at the bottom. The water tube also doesn't allow for the water to freely dispense from the nipple so my chickens don't use it at all. I had to set up another water feeder for them. The outside shelf of the roosting section has a mesh wire shelf and when it rains and snows it goes right through to the bottom of the run area which gets wet and floods and this is where my chickens sit when it rains and snows. I did purchase the storm panels and put a panel on this shelf, however it is not a tight fit so the water and snow still get through to the bottom of the run area.There's got to be a better design here!!!

We are very pleased with our order came on time and in perfect shipping condition. We did have a few pieces that weren't "perfect" but they worked and instructions were very easy to follow. I think overall it took maybe 3hrs to set up and this was due more to uneven ground then actual build.. Thanks again for an awesome product!

Roost and Root chicken coops are a cut above. I particularly like their attention to detail and craftsmanship. Instructions were relatively easy to follow as well. Looking forward to lots of fresh organic eggs.
