Inca Expert Travel did a fabulous job in planning and arranging our magical Peru trip. Everything worked as planned except the cancellation of the Cusco to Puno train by PeruRail the night before travel. However, our travel advisor Liz Sperling managed to arrange our flights at a short notice so that we could visit Lake Titicaca. Liz planned our trip in such a way, with changes in the altitude, that we did not suffer at all from altitude sickness. Our guides were knowledgable and car pickups were always on time. Highlight of our trip was dining at Central in Lima and MIL Centro at the Sacred valley. The MIL Centro lunch was memorable. The all inclusive Titilaca resort on Lake Titicaca was simply out of this world. All other hotels met our expectations. Our heartfelt thanks to our advisor Liz and all other staff members who made this amazing trip possible.

I had an amazing trip to Peru through Inca Expert Travel. Debbie, my travel advisor, helped me create the perfect itinerary for a solo trip to Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. All aspects of my trip were flawlessly coordinated; meeting my guides, transfers, pick-up/drop-offs, and in-country flights all went smoothly. My drivers and guides were on time and easy to locate upon meeting. My itinerary was highly organized and the clear, detailed instructions allowed me to enjoy the trip and not worry about all the nuances involved with traveling abroad. Debbie was responsive throughout the entire process from creating my itinerary to having a pre-arrival phone conversation with me. She even welcomed me in person when I arrived in Lima. Inca Expert Travel provided me with a 24-hour emergency phone number in case I had problems during my trip, which gave me a peace of mind. My private guides (Diana, Ivan, Peter, and Jose) were all personable, friendly, and professional. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant and memorable experience. My guides were knowledgeable and provided me with fascinating history behind all the sites I visited. They offered me good restaurant and activity recommendations. They were happy to take photos of me and made excellent suggestions for photo locations/ideas. All my hotels met my expectations and having breakfast included was convenient. On a scale from 0 to 10, I choose 10 and would recommend Inca Expert to my friends and family without hesitation. Inca Expert exceeded my expectations as a travel company and I will use their services again when I return to Peru!

My family trip to Machu Picchu was incredible. Our trip was actually planned pre-COVID 2 years ago through The Inca Expert Travel Agency. The trip was rescheduled twice through the agency seamlessly and professionally tailored to our goals and limitations. Even after the planning, they made changes and even cancelled a once required COVID return test to save us money. Our guide was a seasoned professional – Mr. Wilfred Farfan Florez (Willy). He was entertaining, didactic, instructive, caring, and genuinely a good guy. He brought oxygen which was used when my daughter had some altitude sickness. One of the days, we were short on water, and he was able to use his connections to secure more water for us. He defended us from other visitors who attempted to circumvent lines, and he even defended a lady who was accosted by stranger outside our group. Our first leg was a backpacking hike on Lares trail. This was over 15,000 feet was definitely a challenge. The night was cold, but we were provided with extra sleeping bags and blankets. The cook and porters were excellent, and the scenery was beautiful. The only critique I have was the night between the Lares trek and the Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu. After visiting the archaeological site of Pumamarka, we hiked and stayed in the town of Ollantaytambo. We camped in someone’s large backyard, but it was close to car traffic and noisy throughout the night. But we were tired, was fed well, and were able to sleep through the noise. Our final leg was the Inca Trail. The Sun Gate, the Citadel itself, and even the town of Aquas Calientes were sites to behold. It’s no wonder Machu Picchu is one of the seven man made wonders of the world! All the hotel accommodations were first class! And the train travel was not only comfortable was a fun journey on its own. The Inca Expert Travel Agency did a fantastic job! I would definitely recommend the Inca Expert Travel Agency to ALL of my friends and family.

It was nice to be met at the airport by our travel advisor upon arrival to Lima, Peru. Peru was gorgeous; we especially enjoyed the Sacred Valley. All transportation organized by Inca Expert was awaiting our arrival. All hotels were as described or better. Cusco's altitude didn't affect us due to good acclimatization in the Sacred Valley prior to that portion of the trip. We enjoyed the ATV tour and Llama trek in the Sacred Valley. We were blown away by the views at the Tierra Viva Valle Sagrado, and we were glad to stay there for multiple nights. Machu Picchu did not disappoint, and it was safe and enjoyable to explore Aquas Calientes day and night.

I am writing this email to share my thoughts about our experiences working with Inca Expert on our recent 14 day trip to Peru. In summary - it was fantastic. One of the best trips my wife and I have ever taken. Several specifics: 1. During the planning, our travel coordinator, Maribell Mormontoy was always available to review our itinerary, answer our questions, offer thoughtful recommendations - she was excellent and I highly recommend her to anyone planning a similar trip to Peru. We had very specific needs - Maribell addressed everyone of these - exceeded our expectations every time. 2. Inca Expert was very accommodating during COVID. Our trip was originally scheduled for 2 years ago - postponed a 2nd time a year ago - and we finally were able to travel this past summer. The postponements did not affect our trip in any way - the itinerary was the same, no financial penalties - we simply moved the trip to the next year (twice) - it was that simple. 3. Throughout our journey in Peru - on most days - from the moment we first landed in Lima until we departed Lima 2 weeks later - every single driver and tour guide showed up exactly on time. There was no waiting. If our itinerary said that we would be picked up from our hotel at 9am - then at 8:55 someone was there waiting for us. We were so grateful - never having to wait for anyone to show up. It all just happened exactly as it appeared in our itinerary. 4. The hotels were fabulous - luxury every step of the way. Hotel B in Lima was a real treat; the Inkaterra hotels in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu were amazing, and Palacio del Inka in Cusco was one of our all time favorites. We were upgraded every step of the way! 4. Inca Expert recommended we take the Delfin III Amazon cruise (4N/5D). It was fabulous! We were 22 people - and everything about the cruise was perfect. Special shout out to the Naturalists who led our expeditions on the water and through the jungle each day. 5. Our Bike Tour in Lima (Go-Go Bikes) was also fantastic. This was an awesome way to see the city. We highly recommend Go-Go Bikes! 6. Our Market Tour and Cooking Lesson in Lima was fun. We met the chef at the market - and then went to his home to cook an authentic Peruvian meal. We learned alot - and ate alot! 7. Our tour guides in the Sacred Valley were very knowledgeable - had great senses of humor - were fun to be around. The 2 days in the Sacred Valley were very enjoyable. 8. The highlight of our trip was the 2 day Inca Trail/Machu Picchu experience. On the first day, our tour guide (Puma) met us at the hotel - and traveled with us that day and the next day. Luggage arrangements were all taken care of. We got off the train at KM 104 and hiked the Inca Trail with Puma for 8 hours. Eventually we ended up at the Sun Gate looking down at Machu Picchu - breaktaking! Puma was the best guide we have ever met (and we travel alot). The hike was difficult at times - and he was incredible. We still email with him! On the 2nd day - Puma met us at our hotel in Machu Picchu and we spent the day learning about this incredible fortress. After a few Pisco Sours with Puma - we said our goodbyes - big hugs! 9. Our trip concluded in Cusco - we were acclimated to the altitude from our time in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We relaxed - enjoyed the local culture - and ate great food. So there you have it! An absolutely perfect trip! Not a single glitch. I'm certain Inca Expert staff were monitoring our whereabouts throughout our journey. They ensured everything proceeded to plan - and I am very grateful for that. Thank you again Maribell to you - and your team. You have given us a wonderful experience with memories that will last a lifetime. I'm sure we will be back again at some point in the near future.

From beginning to end Inca Expert Travel attended to every detail giving an experience that will be remembered forever. The guides were knowledgeable, interesting and made the trip truly a learning and fun adventure. Transitions from one place to another were navigated easily because of the support provided. Our travel specialist was responsive and very willing to design the trip to my requests.
