Don't like update
Don't like update. Program is slow. Customer service not reliable. Asked several times for a phone call but like to only do business via email. Not helpful.
very useful for hiring and managing my employees
I started with employee records, which was free and I liked it so much that i decided to try another app. I then bought job applications app, and I love it! Saves me time and effort. They also have applicant tracking that works with this app, so I probably am going to buy that one as well. Good product and can't beat that price!
AWFUL
AWFUL. The app is incredibly slow and freezes almost every time I use it, which is daily. I rely on this to properly document vacation time, sick time, tardiness, absences, etc. The app has never been great, but the since the new upgrade a few weeks ago, it has become horrendous. To make it worse, I have tried speaking with customer service several times about these issues over the past year, and just earlier today since the new update, and no one cared or could be bothered to provide any real help. I would never recommend this app to anyone the way that it is currently functioning. I paid upfront for a year and so I am stuck with it until the end of 2020, but I would go a different route if you haven't committed to this app yet!

I use Google Chrome as my browser of choice and HRdirect Apps takes forever to load. And there are features that should be a given that are not available, such as copying an absence event over a range of dates. Instead, you need to input on each date the same info.
I renewed the Attendance App for 2020…
I renewed the Attendance App for 2020 recently, not knowing that a few weeks ago the App would undergo upgrading. The upgrading is a disaster! It has drastically slowed down my payroll process. Some of the upgrade errors include deleting the hire dates that took me hours to put in when I first purchased the app. For a payroll clerk it is imperative to have that info handy while processing a payroll. Also, they removed the absentee codes that were put in under the yearly view, thus, causing a user to have to flip thru months of screens under the month view to count days taken. The hours tracker on the left of the app, only tracks hours used per month, it does not keep a running total of each month per year, which is useless. Very disappointed and frustrated at the new changes.

the product can be very useful, however slow when opening, when entering code if using more days you must enter code on each date. would like to see it update multi days at once. would like to see the total pto taken period (future pto totals should be calculated to give total). Would like to see who will be off on future dates. Now it only list who is scheduled off for the current date. We have a roll over PTO balance to the next year, however your attendance calendar will zero out as of 1/1/....too many clicks to see ee record, ie time

Right now I am giving you a one since I can no longer see my information after Mondays update. I have sent messages twice and no results as of today. When you do an update on a Monday during the day it truly causes issues. I have not been able to complete my payroll for the week due to this issue. I had to guess at what PTO was available since that information no longer is visible. Will I need to start over and refigure by hand my PTO? I hope not since we are paying you for a service, which at this time we cannot use. The only communication I have had with this issue is by email, having someone reach out by phone would be a much better option in my opinion so your clients know you care.
Worthless...lost all vacation/ill time balances
Worthless...you really need to trial apps before rolling them out. It was always a struggle but now it's even worse since the upgrade...Tells me less than before and even more steps are required to get the information I need. I've also lost all balances that were put into it for all employees. Do NOT recommend! Feel I need to completely start over with a new app now.

I would give 0 stars if possible. An update was released 3 weeks after I renewed my subscription that changes to the app to the point that is now useless to us.
HRdirect Smart Apps upgrade
The new upgrade is not at all user friendly. I do not like it at all. I called for help and the person helping me tried to be nice and helpful but he was as confused as me as he was learning it too. I am not going to use the new HRdirect Smart Apps.
