Used these guys years ago and it was so great. Super fast delivery of a kit to send my watch securely off in, an reusing them now for a different repair.

A long wait but worth it

The full service on my Rolex took a long time - considerably longer than forecast. Progress reports were not forthcoming either. However, when I called I had no problem getting through and was always met with courteous and friendly replies. When returned, my watch was quite literally as good as new - immaculately polished and running, as they say, like clockwork. Definitely worth the extra wait. The follow up call from the Head of Customer Care, Oliver, was unexpected and much appreciated. Please though, next time, just let me know how things are progressing?

The watch was serviced to an extremely high standard , it was basically returned like a brand new watch , I required a copy of the service invoice three years later which a lovely chap called Sam located and sent on to me immediately . Great company and outstanding service

Excellent Customer Services

Constant communication about where your repair is at. Quick turnaround (of course this depends on what your repair is - mine was just a battery change)

What went wrong??!?

What went wrong??!?? What went right would be quicker to list. I recommend you avoid this company AT ALL COSTS. Outrageously expensive at around £400 per watch for the two TAGs I sent them; disinterested, dismissive staff who don't listen, clearly don't care & repeatedly talk over you & fob you off with "policy" when you call; shoddy workmanship despite the huge cost, not to mention the highly unacceptable time it takes for them to even produce an estimate, never mind order the parts and do the work - and even then it was faulty!! TAG 1 was sent for refurb and a simple bracelet resize & repair requiring a new pin - posted to them 07 06 24, waited for estimate over a month, paid £418.80 in full 08/07, stated this is extremely precious to me & has never been out of my sight for 23 years so I am very anxious to let it go - would appreciate it back asap - got it back 28/8 & it broke in the same place on 30/08!! Timpsons can do better!! Rang to complain, told to send it back for warranty repair, waited a week for the courier pack. In the meantime took it to a TAG Heuer local boutique who told me they could get the pin and fix it in a week but not under the warranty. 6/9 posted it back to LWR. 30/9 received a repair estimate from LWR for a FURTHER £272!!!! Rang, absolutely livid, to query this as under warranty - told it was sent back to TAG & they think this is an error & if I hear no more to assume it's ok - I insisted they call me back to confirm - error confirmed, no further charge & no apology for the stress caused - I asked how long it would take as I'd only had this back for 1.5 days before it broke in the same place & am extremely disappointed & just want it back as it has huge sentimental value & I am anxious without it - she was LESS THAN REASSURING & fobbed me off with "there are other watches to be repaired" etc & told me in other words I would have to be patient and wait my turn as there was nothing they could do (to hurry up what would be a 5 min job, due to their faulty workmanship & cost me a fortune). I reiterated I would like it back asap & she said it had been "escalated" and they would do it "ASAP but it will have to wait according to other jobs"! 21/10 -STILL NO NEWS SO NOW I HAVE TO CHASE THEM YET AGAIN & SADLY EXPECT TO BE FOBBED OFF AGAIN. TAG 2 - Sent this to them on 7/6/24 having waited around a month for an estimate. Estimated repair/refurb time 12-14 weeks. Paid huge sum of £394.80 in advance. They won't process anything until they have your money but once they've got it they lose all interest. BEWARE! I chased progress on 30/09, got brushed aside by the same assistant who didn't give a damn about my other watch. Told it's not due until 21/10 (latest) (14 weeks = 3.5 months, plus the time it takes for them to produce an estimate). I was told that they have the parts but it (still) hasn't been assigned to a watchmaker. HERE WE ARE ON 21/10 & NO PROGRESS REPORT AND NO WATCH EITHER. I now have the extremely unpleasant task of chasing them and probably being fobbed off again. On top of this they offer you a free loan watch on your estimate - BEWARE - I sent two watches, paid them over £800 and they told me on repeated occasions during the time they had both my watches that there were no loan watches left (what? over a FIVE MONTH PERIOD??) They should buy more loan watches if that is true. Don't promise what you can't deliver. To add insult to injury I had to spend even more money buying a cheap watch to tide me over - I'm still wearing it and don't have my TAGS back or any news of them. I will keep you posted ....

Patience is rewarded

I sent two Alfred Dunhill watches for repair, including a new movement in one of them. The work is excellent and the watches are back with me, good as new. It took 6 months and the company replied to my enquiries within a couple of days each time I chased them. They are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about watches and I will use them again. If you have any hesitation, I recommend asking first about how long the work will take.

My Wife's Omega constellation.

After speaking to them, I decided to send my wife's beloved Omega for a battery replacement. The service was carried out quickly, professionally, and I was kept informed by e-mail regularly. It was safely returned after little more than a week, in a superb Omega branded travel case! The service was faultless professional, reassuring, and as worry free as it could be. I am now going to send my Rolex datejust, for a full service and polish! Very well done LWR, you have a very satisfied client.
