Satisfied customer with Vector Security
I have had Vector Security since I purchased my home in 2007 and have been extremely satisfied with their service. I had to have my system serviced last year and they were very prompt, and the technician was competent and professional.

Reliable, easy to use, love the keyfob, works from Iphone, tablet, and computer. Techs have great working knowledge and explain system in lay terms. would hughly recomend.
ADT, Go To Sleep
Having had ADT for over 5 years, paying each month, and finding out it had been inactive for at least 2 years, I love Vector. When I mistakenly set the alarm off, customer service calls me from the alarm box, not the phone. Service is great and customer service is excellent. The contract had no "fine print" that states you must test your equipment monthly! I have never been happier. Wouldn't take ADT if it were free now!!!

Get a system you can install and maintain yourself!
I felt that I was paying a premium for service after the sale. I even purchased a monthly maintenance contract. So for every service I needed is covered by the contract. Today I relocated the router in the house. It would only take 15 - 30 minutes max to shorten the cable and put a new end cap. Can't get to me for 2 weeks??? I ask why do I want to continue to do business with this kind of service?

We installed Vector Security when we build our house. We have been very happy with Vector! . Customer service has always been very responsive/helpful. The service technicians and sales are knowledgeable and professional. We upgraded our system a few years back. Nice that the motion detectors no longer need periodic battery replacements. Would definitely recommend Vector Security. Responsive customer service and decent monthly fee equals a happy customer! Fantastic company!!!
We have received excellent service and support from Vector!
We have had not but very good service from Vector since we chose them as our security provider. Two winters ago when our furnace went out while we were away, the temperature sensor on our security system saved us hundreds of dollars in repair costs from frozen pipes, etc. Anytime we have had the alarm sound, we immediately receive an email, as well as a phone call. The staff are very polite and efficient. We are very pleased with our choice of Vector for our home security system!!
Proactive Security Monitoring
The monitoring center saw an usual amount of low battery signals coming from the house and called to advise us of this, We replaced the battery backup and reset the system. They called two more times to ensure all was ok and asked if we wanted a service tech to check things further, which was not necessary. Excellent service, and just the right amount of continuous follow-up.

We have had Vector security for SIX years... They have never come out to service the system like they promised. We decided it was time to let them go when we removed one of the sensors from the door and they called us an ENTIRE YEAR later to let us know the sensor wasn't working properly. We called to cancel and were given three different options. Copied straight from the e-mail: Two options: 1. upgrade panel to a 2GIG with MVS interactive 2 sensors free installation same price 41.19 3 year term 2. keep the same panel lower the rate to 36.00 monthly free smoke detector with free installation 3 year term 3. give you 3 months of free services a month to month contract ( you can cancel at any time with a 30 day notice). We decided to go with the last one, but not wait the three free months. We wanted to cancel ASAP so we can get a system from a different company. When we called to get the paper work they decided to tell us "well, since you never signed your month to month plan, you have to pay us for a year" No. We were never told we were put on a month to month contract and we have paid every single month for six years. We were JUST told we could have three months free and then cancel and now when we tell you to cancel it you are going to try and tell us we owe you a year?? The customer service representative was extremely rude and eventually decided that we could cancel our services. We faxed all of the paper work to have our account canceled and a month later the still took our monthly payment out of our account! I have never been so disgusted with a company before. I heard horrible things about Vector before we had our system installed but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.... horrible mistake. Do yourself a favor, go with a different company.
Scam Sales and Average Service
Everyone I have ever spoken with has been very courteous and polite. The people selling their srvice, who I must assume were contracted, were running a scam. They take advantage of the fine print and next thing you know your stuck paying for FIVE YEARS after they tell you it's three. Ultimately it's all on me for not taking the time but I'm not an idiot and would never agree to a 5 year contract. Looking back over the contract that I requested be sent to me I believe some of the places where my initials are look possibly forged. But, it's my word against theirs. With all the available services out there and options for connected homes now Vector is simply average and mediocre with a long term contract.
