Exceptional experience! I purchased an Orbea Gain M30. We exchanged several emails re: stock availability, always with quick response from the shop; I visited the shop and had a detailed explanation of the bike's capabilities, alongside comparison to alternative models; no hard sell; had a quick test ride and that was that. They even delivered it to my house later that day (although I do live a only couple of miles from the shop). A perfect reason to use your local bike shop!

We recently bought a Tern GSD from Surge Bikes and the service from Matt and the team at Surge Bikes was fantastic. We have a Tern dealer local to us, but this was a BIG purchase and we wanted our money to go as far as it could. Having shopped around it seems there's very little price difference from dealer to dealer, but I spotted that Surge offer money towards accessories with their bikes. This was great, as to get the GSD kitted to carry two kids we already knew we'd need some extras like the Clubhouse plus. I gave Surge a ring and Matt was actually able to point me towards an ex-demo bike that was a higher spec than we'd been looking at and came with all the accessories we'd need and at a great price. Matt also knew the bike really well, and whilst we'd already done lots of research and was pretty sure it was what we needed, took his time to check that it was the right bike for us. We were sold! From there everything was super straight forward. The bike arrived via pallet delivery really quickly (Hampshire to Devon) and was incredibly well packaged. Matt was super responsive on emails for any questions I had about getting the bike going (all silly questions from me as I was too excited to take my time and do things logically). We've had the bike a couple of weeks now and love it and have had no issues, but I'm confident that Matt and the team will be on the end of the phone or email to help us out with any that do arise. If anyone is thinking about getting a cargo bike, I definitely recommend a Tern GSD, but more generally I'd recommend Surge Bikes for any e-bike purchases.
