Sales experience was excellent with very helpful and efficient staff. Follow up was less impressive once I had a problem and this could not be resolved by either SPAN or QNAP. Basically the HS453 makes a continuous clicking noise and is much noisier than my old Synology. I have only kept the unit because it is located in my hallway - it is not a suitable device if you want to locate it in your viewing or listening room. QNAP says there is no problem so all I can recommend is that you don't buy one.

I really liked all the information and videos, which helped me make a decision into which NAS I was going to buy; and confident it was the right choice. I also liked the way the purchase flow worked with the ability to add drives and price them up simply. I received my NAS in good time with drives installed and all good so far in :o)

I ordered a Drobo 8D hard drive enclosure and 3 x 10TB drives. When it arrived the 10Tb drives were already in the Drobo. I didn't ask for or want this. They clearly thought this was helpful but they should have checked with me first.
