Not fit for purpose

Approx. 10months ago i ordered a recliner that was supposed to be made to measure. The chair came within a fortnight which i thought was rather quick as the frame had to be fabricated to size. When the person came to demonstrate and measure me up for the new chair i explained to him my needs. I had broken my back in 2 places and needed lumbar support as my first priority and wanted the chair 2inches wider for my legs. when the chair came my wife and i was surprised how big this chair was. they made it 2inches higher so my legs don't touch the floor when sitting in it and at least 2to3inches deeper. This i thought i would cope with but the biggest problem is the lack of padding in the back, hardly anything there just like laying against a board. Over the previous months, iv bought several cushions for more comfort but a few weeks ago the motor snapped off so phoned them and someone came within 2 weeks to repair it. I explained my dilemma about the padding and he said he would tell the company and they would get back to me, he agreed that it needed more padding. Well, this so-called company said that the person that came told them there was adequate padding , somebody is telling porkies. The company want to charge me £300 to put more stuffing in the back,i paid almost £2500 for this chair not fit for purpose. I have been in touch with BBC x-ray who are more than interested and a video of the chair to be aired on u tube. Please stay away and don't waste your time and money.

Terrible experience

I ordered my rise and recline sofa and chair on the 15th of June. They were delivered to me on the 15th of July, since then I have been trying to get my sofa sorted as it had a lot of problems the sofa backs just didn't match up with each other, the headrests were different shapes, the buttons didn't match and I didn't think it was worth the money I paid for it. I rang the customer care centre and that is when I had difficulty to speak to anyone, after numerous telephone calls they eventually came and took the sofa back to sort out the problems that I had. I had to send a letter of complaint to them before they decided to take it back. They kept the sofa for a good 5 weeks and numerous phone calls later I received it back. The headrests were still the same so again I rang them and still had to make numerous calls and tried to speak to somebody in charge. Again I had problems their after care service is awful. I started sending emails and eventually I had a phone call saying they would make me new sofa backs and this was only agreed because I wanted my money back this was on the 29th of September and would be delivered within 7 to 10 days. 2 weeks later no news so I began the phone calls and emails again and finally the sofa backs arrived today on 2nd of December. The sofa backs are now matching but it has been a long process to get this far hence my 1 star and I grudgingly gave that so I could write this. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone, I have had sleepless nights over this. They need to sort out how they look after their customers as their customer care is diabolical. I am also looking for a bed but I won't be using this company after my experience with them.

One very happy lady.

I am one happy lady today the salesman said he would get my chair as fast as he could he did that it came over a week early.The pain i am in is easier with my chair.The lovely men Mat and Paul fixed it ready to use and watched to see i could do it myself.I would say this firm are excellent at their job with staff most helpful and pleasant.Thanking you all.M.Walsh.

Excellent service throughout

Excellent service from demonstration through to delivery and assembly. Sales representative was informative and friendly. The installation guys Craig and Paul were efficient and helpful. They also telephoned when due and actually turned up when advised. I thought this was great as it doesn’t always happen with some firms.

The booking system didn’t go to plan…

The booking system didn’t go to plan but got an appt in the end. Kept in touch on the day of booking which was helpful for planning. Lovely guys that came and did it very quickly and using all the correct PPE

Very Satisfied

Got a phone call morning of delivery giving delivery time which was kept. Very polite crew Mike and Paul who installed bed quickly and gave full demonstration. They tidied up and left within an hour. I'm very pleased with service and product. Thanks...

Comfort

Furniture ordered and was delivered when said it would be. The two gents (Paul J and Vallie) were extremely polite and helpful. They took their time in explaining how to work the rise and recline chair and putting together the furniture.
