My Old and New Chair Experience
My, existing Recliner Factory chair wa nearly 4 years old and out of warranty. Following an advertisement through the post I decided to arrange a home visit. Richard, the sales rep arrived on the arranged day. Richard saw me in my existing chair and agreed with me that the chair was some 3 inches short in the back rest and 2 inches short in the footrest. HAD my chair been incorrectly measured or had something gone wrong at the factory when my originalchair was made. Having paid over £3700 this was very worrying. After several calls to the factory,making sure that a chair with the additional measurements could be made. Richard and I agreed a price and an order for my new Malven Chair together with the premium package was duly placed.The day after the order was placed, my Wife rang up the sales office to enquire about the possibility of purchasing a piece of material which could be used over the back of the new chair. She was told that this would not be a problem, and could be added to my original order on payment of £30 On the 9th September my new chair arrived, your 2 delivery guys ( whose names I can't remember) were absolutely fantastic. But SURPRISE SURPRISE there was know piece of additional material which I had ordered. The next day I emailed your sales office only to be told by Keeleigh, that my order HADN'T been placed by your sales office. Not very satisfactory towards a returning customer. And that it would be despatched ASAP. But despite all of this I am very very pleased with my new Malvern Chair. It is very comfortable and the increase in the height of the back and the leg rest has made a very big difference. The reading light and the 3 in one table is absolutely fantastic. The chair may be expensive, but knowing it made to measure and made in the UK, as a returning customer i would have know hesitation in recommending the Recliner Factory.

Very mixed. Not unusually very efficient with sales. Then comes delivery. Started well, with the chair we ordered coming in the allotted time. Very pleased with the product, and the installation. Sadly then things fall apart with the other part of our order, the adjustable bed, which was due to come on the same day. Delayed because of delivery of ‘cover’ From Turkey. Ok, in middle of pandemic, things happen, not unduly concerned. Then the Bed comes. Put in place, fine. But it doesn’t work, a problem with a connection, which has apparently happened before. Ok, so where is the quality control before these things come out? ‘Someone will be in touch/out to rectify it’. After waiting WE have to chase. ‘Ah, someone will be in your area next Wednesday’. Sadly that doesn’t help, Hospital appointment. So now we wait for another date, so we Still have a bed that doesn’t adjust and not sure when it will be sorted. Surely as it’s their manufacturing screw-up you’d think they’d action this quickly. But no, yet again once monies are paid, aftersales service falls apart. Disappointing.

A gentleman call Chris Grinter came to an arranged appointment at de11 for my mum, she suffers with ill health, he made both myself and her feel at ease, there was no hard sales, the product and fabric was shown and explained very well. Very polite, friendly and a credit to your company. My mum can not wait for her product to arrive. Thank you for a lovely service given.

After some fairly lengthy consideration,I decided to purchase a recliner chair, even though it was a good deal more expensive than I might have hoped. In the event I am pleased I made the decision. Steve, the representative visited me at home three weeks ago, and discussed my needs and preferences in a friendly and helpful manner. The chair arrived yesterday, delivered by two very helpful fellows, Lee and Glyn, who set it up, and made sure I was happy with everything. I am now enjoying newfound comfort. One thing I particularly like is the attached table with USB port. I can now use my iPad without the need to wear reading glasses. All in all, a very satisfied customer.

i purchased a riser recliner for £1,500 for my mother who also suffers from mobility and serious heart issues.the chair is not fit for purpose and broke in the week it was delivered.despite contacting head office not have they not done anything about it for months down the line but they now ignore any calls made to them.their customer service is appalling. it leads me to believe that the company is either having financial difficulties or that they have too many complaints to handle and are struggling with that. do not purchase from this company.when something goes wrong they will ignore you. unfortunately,i will have no alternative but to send them a letter before action and commence county court proceedings.its a shame they do not know i am a lawyer and do this for a living. the trading standards and the competition and consumer protection commission shall also be notified.buyer beware,

I should have known. Despite getting a response to my initial review, by The Recliner Factory, and an assurance that I'd receive a call back from Customer Services I'm STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL?? The way this Company handles repairs and customer service is absolutely shocking. Being disabled is bad enough - not having the correct and proper equipment to help manage my situation is just another kick in the teeth. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You've got your money, why worry about the after sales service? Any disabled person wanting help, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE. 8 months after delivery of a rise/recline chair and an adjustable double electric bed (total cost £5450), AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY PROBLEMS TO BE RECTIFIED??? I ordered and paid extra for a DOUBLE-USB port to be fitted to my bed. It came with a single USB instead, and to get the double means a new side panel has to be made. An appointment was made several months after the initial install but surprise, surprise it was made again with a single USB?! - what is wrong with following a simple instruction? It is now 8 months since getting my new bed AND I'M STILL WAITING TO GET WHAT I'VE PAID FOR. The other issues I have relate to my rise/recline Chair - ALSO INSTALLED 8 MONTHS AGO. Their are many faults with my chair. I've had 1 "Engineer" have a look at it, took some photos and agreed that my chair should be returned to the Factory to be investigated and a loan chair lent during this period - that visit was on 29th June 2020, and I'm STILL WAITING. When I phone the office to enquire about my bed and Chair I keep being told that they are waiting for a new Sales order to be delivered in my area so that they can visit me at the same time??!!?? What happened to Customer Service? Surely priority should be given to existing customers and NOT to wait on that next Sale before anything is resolved. I last spoke to an Agent on 19th August, and told her that if nothing is done within the next two weeks I shall have no choice but to contact Trading Standards and, if necessary, my Solicitor - the two weeks are up on Wednesday 2nd September and it looks like I'll be making those calls.
quality of my new leather chair is…
quality of my new leather chair is excellent. even though it was expensive it is worth it. there was a lot of choice of colours and designs. the 2 delivery men were helpful and friendly. all in all I am happy with the chair. the only bad point was when I was promised that someone would phone me back on Friday afternoon to advise me on delivery but no one phoned, I had to phone again on Monday morning.
