I do enjoy the group exercise approach but...
I do enjoy the group exercise approach which is differentiated compare to any other fitness app out there. Body Pump and The cycling one - The Trip are both the best for me. Also, the diversity of content is superbe! My feedback would be to improve the search of content since there is a lot of content.
One of the best online fitness apps around
One of the best online fitness apps around - heaps of awesome classes just like your local gym - you can keep going in the comfort of anywhere! Regular updates keep content fresh and it's all scientifically designed so you know it's safe and great quality.
Feeling strong and fit - great results
I have just finished the Fast Burner Challenge - I feel awesome and smashed my fitness and weight goals. Rachael Newsham the Challenge lead kept me motivated and laughing throughout. I found the platform easy to use and liked having a workout plan to print out for my fridge too - kept me accountable.
Technical Issues - Cannot Use on TV & Hard to Use on Phone
I did not have issues with the free trial in terms of charging. Easy to signup and easy to cancel (just login to account, go to subscriptions and cancel). I got an immediate cancellation email and it was showing as cancelled on my account. Now, the actual reason why I gave this two stars - I did not intent to just have a free trial and then move on, I love Les Mills in the gym and I thought this could be good for the period when gyms are not working, so I wanted to give it a go. However the amount of technical issues I've had really put me off! I thought that the programme will be easy to access and one of the biggest selling points is being able to use it on my TV (as I prefer this to my phone). However the TV feature does not work on mine (LG smart TV although it has app compatibility for so many apps, but for some reason not Les Mills). Then it is advised that I can use the TV browser to access the videos, but the login page won't load when I try that. In the end I had to try and stream from my phone (which is exactly what I didn't want) and Vimeo is not ideal for this at all (it freezes, looks bad and my phone locks up on it's own sometimes when I'm using it, as it doesn't keep the screen on). Until a better app and TV feature exists I do not see the value of this as it is too difficult to use and I don't want to spend 15 minutes of my workout figuring out technical issues. It's just easier to play a YouTube video and do that on the phone or TV (much more functionality/compatibility), therefore I found the marketing surrounding easy online workout misleading and was left displeased. If you are offering an online fitness solution and charging for it, I think it has to be done properly!
Dishonest company that will rip you off whenever you can.
First, about the content: Their workouts are pretty much the same in every video, just different music. The presenters cracked lame jokes that get very annoying when you rewatched. Secondly, about how dishonest they are. I received an email promoting one month free trial. Clicked it to sign up. The sign up process keeps on stating the charge won't start until next month, but I got charged immediately. Contacted customer support and they said it's because I already had a free trial before. If they cannot offer another free trial, they are supposed to give me an error, or warning. There was no warning at all, and they refused to refund my money. I have had multiple free trials with audible before. How do I know that they do not honour their free trial offers that they sent to my email. Customer service just totally disregarded the customers. Something replied a long the line of "once we got your money, we will never give them back". Be very careful when you deal with this company.
This is by far the best online option…
This is by far the best online option for classes. Great range for any type of training you enjoy and literally hundreds of classes to choose from. So if you are like me and get bored easily this is ideal. I always enjoyed Les Mills classes in my gym but I seem to enjoy them even more with the choices online. The instructors are really good and encouraging too. That can be lost with the online experience but they somehow manage to keep you motivated. Love this subscription and I think its really good value for money
Awesome Classes!!
The Classes are brilliant and cast straight to the TV with Chromecast. They have a huge selection of different classes to choose from which you can download to your phone so great when your offline somewhere. Can't see me ever going back to a gym now. The Trip spin class is my favourite. Please keep doing more of these. My only criticism is that I wish there was something to indicate that you've completed the class as there are so many different ones it's hard to remember which ones you have done. Something like a little tick next to it. Thanks LM
I signed up for the free trial
I signed up for the free trial during Covid-19 lockdown and have continued my subscription afterwards. The workouts on the site are amazing and I'm really surprised about how I'm actually motivated by the classes even though they're not at a real gym.
I have signed up for the free trial but…
I have signed up for the free trial but I will be carrying on and paying for a subscription because its great. I had been doing home workouts with videos from people on Youtube but as soon as you try some of the classes on Les Mills on demand I cant go back to watching youtube videos! The quality of the classes/workouts is on a different level and works great for me, may even cancel my gym membership now.
I LOST OVER 60 POUNDS IN 2 DAYS, £££
My experience is similar to others, the free trial is not free, I cancelled the free trial in time, even giving them detailed narrative as to why, then the money gets taken out of account, upon querying it, i get a response that they are sorry they have nothing on the account re cancelling, however, they will cancel subscription immediately, when I asked politely about my refund, I get the under terms and conditions we don't do refunds if you don't cancel before the expiry of the free trial. So putting aside the annoyance of them denying that I cancelled, they then cancel my subscription after I advise them, which was 2 days after free trial ended, so they've charged me for a year yet cancelled my subscription, will they respond to emails about this of course NOT. I wouldnt mind, the classes looked pretty decent, its just sometimes they don't suit an individual as in my case, very disappointing, i didn't realise what they really meant, when one email of theirs, was titled 'want to lose pounds', thanks for that. ID AVOID THE FREE TRIAL, other people have posted some of the class examples on line, try them before thinking of subscribing, although personally I cant recommend a company who take your payment details, even though you followed their website instructions/process to cancel yet deny you did, yet also market other products on their site, which you could easily get tripped up over
