Easy to complete a purchase.

Easy to complete a purchase. It’s so frustrating that booking fees are charged when there’s no alternative

Booking the tickets was fine until…

Booking the tickets was fine until checkout, I was paying by credit card but it would not allow me to type the card number in,I could type in and select the other fields like the expiry date etc but not the number and i had to restart the check out process about 5 times before it suddenly allowed me to enter the number and I completed the checkout successfully. This was not the firs5 time this has happened to me on this site. I was using an up to date Firefox browser on Windows 10. I book tickets regularly and the Eventim site is the only one where I have encountered this. Other than this bug, the process was fine

Effortless

Effortless! I got early bird tickets. Many of the good seats were already gone which is interesting seeing as I went online straight away. I managed to get fairly decent seats. What I love about Eventim Apollo is that if you book a seat and pay for it, you get that seat. Unlike many other venues (O²) who sells you seats which are unbooked, they oversell tickets so if you don't get there super early to stand in a long queue, you don't get a seat (on a bench) so have to find somewhere to stand and that's at the back! The standing tickets are also oversold so people are crammed in. And Eventim has reasonable security rules which allow empty water bottles and bags and laptops inside, because people work, and most events are on weeknights and you have to travel there after work with your belongings, and you also can't stand in a queue from 7am! Eventim all the way, I will be boycotting any O² affiliated venue from now on, sadly.

Easy to use on mobile

It was very easy to pick and purchase tickets. My only note is that purchasing the ticket didn't work on desktop, for me or for my friend - only mobile worked.

They resolved the issue! Thank you.

Update: they reached out to me following my review below. Credit where it is due - Customer Services followed up and I got a full refund. Thank you so much. Really disappointing lack of communication and failure to honour what they had stated they would do. I did everything I was instructed to do, in an email from customer services, regarding returning tickets (for an event that had been rescheduled twice) and I was confident I would receive the refund I was offered in their email, which had stated: '....If you can not attend the new date, you'll need to pop your tickets, along with a quick note stating your order number and that you require a refund, to: EVENTIM CUSTOMER SERVICES PO BOX 75668 LONDON WC1A 9QE We would recommend sending your tickets recorded delivery...tickets need to be received by the new date for us to process the refund'. I did everything I was instructed to do and Eventim received the tickets back - via 'Royal Mail Special Delivery signed for and guaranteed by 1pm', by the morning of the new date of the tickets. The signature showed the early receipt. The instructions from the customer service representative did not say 'before' but 'by' the date. After the proof of receipt from Royal Mail, I waited to hear from Eventim. Sadly, I received no further communication from Eventim: no refund and no explanation. I had clearly wasted £6.85 on Royal Mail next day guaranteed service. I kept all the evidence, photocopies of what was sent and proof of delivery etc. and emailed again to ask for an update but still heard nothing. I could not find any link on their website re. 'how to make a complaint'. Seemed pointless emailing customer services to raise a complaint about customer services failing to reply or update me on the status of the requested refund. When a customer writes to a company via secure letter with attached documents, as well as via email, it seems reasonable to expect a written acknowledgement and response. (If nothing else, it demonstrates courtesy.)

Charging you £2.50 to deliver a ticket to your phone

Charging you £2.50 to deliver a ticket to your phone feels like an absolute scam. I can’t even begin to imagine how they could justify it.
