Works and looks great! z-Wave Version Works with VeraPlus!

I was a little hesitant spending almost $500 on this because I wanted the z-Wave motor to integrate with my VeraPlus home automation system and the manufacturer could not confirm that it would. I took a risk and am happy to report that it DOES work with the VeraPlus - but NOTE WELL when pairing it might not appear to have completed, I paired using the web interface as a Generic z-Wave device (not sure if it would look different using cell phone interface) and that process has a clock that counts down to 0 "looking for new devices" - it didn't report finding the new device, but it actually did so try closing the web browser and then go back into Vera and check devices and see if it was added. It took me a couple of tries before I finally got it right, as you can see from the screen capture from my phone you can control up/down/open/close/stop functions as well as set to specific percentage open. The device can be added to scenes like any other device, so for example if you wanted a scene named "Living Room Blinds 50% Open" you could have this device open (or close) to 50%. My blinds for this room were 88" wide x 67" tall, I did the 70% blackout in Linen Caramel and am very pleased with the appearance. The electric motor is very quiet, responds promptly to either the hand-held remote control or z-Wave controller instructions, and was very easy to customize (e.g. setting upper and lower boundary limits and "favorite position"). The motor draws very little power both while listening for instructions and while running, I've had the motor listening for several days and operated it up and down several times and battery is still at 100%, I'm told you can get 600 open/close operations per charge on this battery! The manufacturer provides nearly EVERYTHING you could possibly need to install, even a pair of white gloves to keep the unit clean during install and a level to ensure it is installed level! I'm so impressed I may bite the bullet and replace at least 6 more large units (same size as this), and probably 4 or more smaller units. If I do the master bedroom windows I'll finally be able to have the blinds open at sunrise automatically. One final note, the custom build and shipping from China was FAST! Ordered 12/12, shipped 12/17, arrived in Massachusetts via UPS 3 days later on 12/20!!! It was double-boxed and well packed, arrived without any damage despite such a long trip!

Wonderful Blinds and great customer service

The blinds arrived in time and works well with HomeKit . One of my blinds did not connect with HomeKit but I called customer care and they were able to walk me through how to troubleshoot the issue. Everything works smoothly now. Only slight con is that when you open or close the blinds together they don’t move in sync. They all move at a different speed but they do stop at the same level. Overall great product!
