As the old filament bulbs were phased out, I have been sold all manner of dodgy low energy bulbs that did not live up to the claims made for them, either in illumination or in endurance. Now that LEDs are displacing the fluorescent technology we are all having to feel our way again. Recently I found, in Well-Lit, a supplier who has made a serious effort to understand the LED technology and to concentrate on quality. Glory Hallelujah, I say. So far my experience of Well-Lit and their products has been not merely excellent but unsurpassed. On 9th December I ordered six GU10s on-line to go into my existing Robus Acorn Spotlights. They were £8.32 each which is less than half what I paid for such bright lights five years ago. They arrived a few days later but they were not acceptable because the dimensions of the lamp were too large for the front closure ring of the Acorn lamp holder to fit over them. I e-mailed Well-Lit to say this and one of their managers telephone me that same day and offered to replace the lamps at no extra charge with their other GU10 which is slightly shorter (and more expensive). The new ones are a much better fit and are performing well. The cheaper model works OK in my bedside light which does not have a front closure. It seems that “GU10” describes the dimensions of the electrical connector but not the front of the lamp. So beware of assuming that any GU10 can replace any other GU10. The size and shape of your light fitting can also be a factor. This little story shows a new company that is really doing a good job in an interesting new field where customers need to know that their supplier understands the product and doesn’t simply sell on any old stuff that comes on the market from who knows where. Henceforth I shall always go first to Well-Lit when looking for LEDs.

I found the 5w bulbs are brighter than standard gu10s. The warm white is about the same colour tone as standard. They also fit in quite tight holders which some gu10 leds don't fit. I replaced all the bulbs in my kitchen about 6 weeks ago and everyone is pleased with the result. Weirdly the 7w one that I tried is not as bright. It's about the same as standard gu10. Presumably the technology is not as good. They are also more expensive so I wouldn't recommend them. Delivery

I've never been a fan of LED lamps - I like the considerable energy saving, of course, but I really can't abide the "football-stadium" whiteness that one usually gets with these things. Then I came across Well-Lit and was impressed by the highly knowledgeable website and even more that on calling them up I was able to speak with their technical director, who gave me the best part of 20 minutes of his time. I subsequently bought LED replacements for all the bulbs in my house that are on for several hours a day and I have been extremely impressed by the result. Excellent brightness, the warm colour that I like and easily dimmable. My only regret is that when I tried to buy some more, they had run out of stock. Excellent products, excellent service, cast-iron guarantee - what more could you ask for?

Ideal like-for-like replacements for the old 50W halogens. I've tried others (Philips) but their colour is much whiter - these look identical to the halogens, to my eye at least. Great customer service, too.

I read up online about LED GU10's and it was a minefield of information. Finally I settled on Well-lit to buy from. The reviews were great. I ordered a total of 12 bulbs each having a 10 year guarantee. After a few months the bulbs started failing one after another. So far 4 have failed. I contacted customer service and informed them. They dispactched 12 replacement bulbs as a rpoblem had been discovered with the batch my delivery came from. I am delighted with the Customer Serivce I got and will have no problem buying from Well-Lit again or in fact reommending them to anyone. If everyone did customer service like Well-Lit it would be great.

Having seen the article in the Telegraph, I was interested to find out more. Customer services proved to be very helpful and informative and rang back true to their word left on voice mail. The bulbs themselves have lived up to all the promises; illuminate instantly with an almost day-light quality. None of the faint gloom and waiting you suffer with the other variety LED is definitely the way forward and at Well-Lit you get the best!

Well-lit sell fantastic high colour rendering index bulbs. I needed 14 GU10s for my kitchen, but this is the first time I've been able to find sensibly priced 95 CRI bulbs. They truly are a like-for-like halogen replacement. In my case they are actually better than a halogen because I really like the colour from the 3000k model (to my eyes it keeps colours natural rather than the slightly yellow from halogens and 2700k). Chris was great at sourcing this model for me even though it is not the normal 2700k model. So I recommend the products and the service. I've also bought 2 other styles of bulb here and the high CRI in them is great as well.

Was looking for a high CRI light in the UK, light proved spot on colour temperature and rendering wise, efficiency and light spread was effective too. Highly recommended for high CRI lights.

Quite simply the best LED lighting I have ever seen

Well-Lit lamps are the best we have tried. They are the first LED lamps which give off a warm light which brings out the colours in furnishings, pictures etc. I have just binned some 20 rubbish CFL (energy saving lamps) and replaced them with Well-Lit LEDs... Chris.
