Easiest bulb replacement ever

My house has 20 GU10 fittings in the kitchen alone which is an expensive nightmare. I had been researching switching to LED bulbs for over 2 years and was always disappointed by the fit (too big) or colour (not strong enough or too white) of the bulbs we found. I was fed up of having so much choice and yet nothing that actually worked. When I came across well-lit I thought it was worth giving them a try because I liked that they guaranteed the fit and the colour would match my halogens, and I liked the 1 year guarantee. The bulbs were slightly more expensive than the cheapest, but not overly. When the bulbs came I was very pleased with them and immediately wrote a review. Now I want to add that a few months have passed and one of the bulbs starting flickering, so I contacted well-lit and without question they immediately sent me a new one. The service is excellent. I'm truly impressed!

Excellent bulbs and service

Nobody yet sells the perfect LED bulb. There's always a choice to be made between lumens, colour temperature, beam angle and CRI. And price. If you spend a lot of time researching alternatives, like I did, you'll probably find that well-lit supply the bulbs that are the best thought-out compromise. They publish their parameters clearly and seem to put the quality and utility of the product above marketing. Quick delivery too.

Excellent lamps

After much on-line research I chose these GU10 LEDs for my kitchen. I wanted quick response, light as bright as the halogens they would replace and with the same warm light. The spec for the "Well-lit" LEDs fitted my requirements exactly and they have proved to be an excellent choice. If anything they are even brighter than I hoped for and the warm white colour is just right. I was so please I recommended them to my son and he, similarly delighted, is replacing all his halogen as they fail, and he has a lot of them.

A bright well lit kitchen at last!

The best low energy bulbs we have ever purchased - I can now see what I am cooking. We would recommend our 5w LED GU10 bulbs , they give out an excellent quality of light. The service from Well-lit was excellent

Top Quality Product and Company Performance

My wife has a high sensitivity to UV and has serious problems when she goes anywhere near fluorescent products. When tungsten lamps started to disappear I built up a stockpile in the loft for our retirement. When LED lamps first appeared they did not have acceptable performance in terms of light output or colour. The 60W I have purchased from Well Lit provide more than a 60W equivalent light output with a very good colour. The lamps (I am an old Navy electrical engineer) were delivered very promptly and well packed. I shall be buying more. Steve Gothard

Tried them out and came back for more - Update - excellent service

This is an update. I had 2 bulbs out of 13 fail. They started flashing. I contacted Well-lit about this and was informed that they had a bad batch from their supplier. Immediately, I was offered a replacement for all 13 lights that I had ordered earlier. They arrived in 2 days. All I can say is that this level of service is excellent and I will only buy my LEDs from Well-Lit in future. Well Done - Well-Lit! ---------------------------------------- I saw a review on the internet and thought that I would give them a try, The GU10 ceiling down lighters arrived promptly and were every bit as good as the old incandescent ones that kept failing. So pleased with the result that I have converted all my GU10 down lighters to LED. Now waiting for them to extend the range, as I don't really want to buy from anywhere else.

Superb products, great pricing and a pleasure to deal with

As the title, what more can one ask? I've had 3 different types of LED bulb and all were better than the bulbs they replaced, incandescent and LED. I've also referred others who were similarly impressed.

Execllent Company

I ordered two 60W equivalent LED bulbs, and have been very pleased with them. Delivery was prompt and well packaged, and the bulbs are obviously of high quality to hold them (and weighty!). The quality of light is almost identical to a 60W incandescent – a gentle warm light. This contrasts to the harsh and oddly coloured LED’s we’ve tried from other suppliers, including names such as Philips. I’m quite picky on light quality and have spent many hours comparing bulbs trying to get a light quality I’m happy with. The 365 day return policy gave me confidence to buy them with no fear of not liking them. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent - couldn't tell the difference between tungsten bulb and well-lit bulb

Well-lit is not the cheapest LED supplier, but you really do get what you pay for (in a good way). The reason I chose well-lit was the exceptionally high colour rendering index (CRI) of their bulbs. This is not the same as colour temperature (which is how warm/cool the light looks), but a measure of how consistent the bulb's output is across the visible light spectrum. Higher CRI means that colours look more natural. Tungsten bulbs have a CRI of 100 (the maximum). CFL 'energy saver' bulbs have a poor CRI, so the light looks strange and artificial. I replaced three tungsten bulbs with 11W CRI 97 LED bulbs from well-lit, and neither my wife nor I could tell the difference. It's fair to say they're not the cheapest, but if you're wanting a natural, warm light for living areas that looks just like a tungsten bulb but uses a fraction of the energy then I would thoroughly recommend them. The build quality feels top notch too. I don't regret paying the premium for a premium product.

Quick as a flash!

We ordered 10 E14 small screw fix (LED) lights for our 8 branch bedroom light fitting (2 spares) as we had seen the piece in The Telegraph .. order was easy and arrived within 2 days or so . Very impressed , would recommend to anyone and would certainly order again. Young dynamic company eager to please but small range which will grow I think...LEDs are the future and not as cold as when they first came out, these give a warm glow and should last ages..slightly cheaper than high street.
