So, so rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful.

Took money for an annual membership out of my account without warning and still haven’t received any correspondence or receipt regarding it. I never intended to continue the membership and have spent 2 months trying to get a refund to no avail. No one replies to emails and no one answers the phone. So, so rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful. The experience has completely changed my opinion of what I once thought was a great institution.

Terrible ‘correctness’. Not what it used to be. I am actually saddened I have life membership, it is a complete waste of money into woke pockets of people who know nothing about the true purpose of the NT. VERY VERY sad.

NT failure to restore and preserve its heritage and honour

It is sad to see a once revered institution fail in its core objectives, which are namely to preserve the properties and lands bequeathed to it by generous benefactors. The executive has failed to maintain democracy within its membership and has effectively slandered views put by genuine supporters of the National Trust who call into question block voting by the Chairperson. Of real shock is the U-Turn over the restoration of Clandon. Having received £66 million in insurance monies they are now refusing to restore it to its former glory. To do so would have been an amazing opportunity for skilled craftsmen to hone their skills and retain them for the future. Were His Majesty The King in a position of such responsibility, I feel sure he would not fail in his duty to restore this fabulous building (or was but is no longer ). Why have the insurance company not asked for the return of their monies as is usual in claims?

Staff and volunteers being failed by management

Quality of offering being clearly reduced. Senior staff being laid off to save money, money not being invested back into properties. Food very poor.

I’m afraid the standards provided by…

I’m afraid the standards provided by the National Trust to its members is in rapid decline , whether that be lack of customer service or the astonishingly high prices at their food outlets ( £3:50 for a sausage roll) , it is clear it’s members are viewed as a resource to be fully exploited .

Need a replacement life membership card

I’ve mislaid my life membership card so I’m trying to contact them to get a replacement. So far spent 15 minutes and 20 minutes listening to their message that they are so busy! If they are that busy they should employ more staff to answer the telephone. Very poor customer service.

Shocking customer service!

Rude customer service, refusing to issue replacement membership cards, waited over an hour on the phone to speak to someone as no response to emails for weeks. After many years of being a member, I wont be renewing this time.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Been trying to contact by phone for over a week without success. Recorded message stating high call volumes!! Tried emailing, again no reply. Need to query and possibly change my membership renewal. Have resorted to writing a letter of complaint to Supporter Services this evening but not holding out much hope anyone will bother to reply sadly.
