True Customer Service
Wanted replacement carpets for our caravan but was unable to complete the on-line purchase. After numerous attempts I contacted Bailey after-sales and what a relief. A real person and so helpful. Di led me through the system step-by-step . She was so friendly and between us we were able to complete the order . Bailey always put the customer first , thank you.
Having bought a six month old Bailey…
Having bought a six month old Bailey Unicorn there were 3 problems highlighted after our first trip out. Firstly in the hand book it tells you the solar panel works to supply energy to 2 batteries, question where is the second battery, or even where is the first battery kept. Answer. Bailey only use 1 battery and apologised for it not being clear in the hand book. Second, is there any support timbers for mounting Tv on the side of the fridge wall. Answer yes, full drawings were emailed to me. Third, why do I have a satellite connection point on the outside of the van, yet no connections on the inside only the standard coax plugs from the boaster. Other Bailey vans have both next to the 240 volt socket. I have received no explanation as yet, but with the help of Diane at Bailey the quest for answers has been a good experience. Thanks Di.

V5 Cabrera.. disappointed.
I got to the destination on my first trip with the v5 Cabrera it towed very easily. Opened the door and found both n/s and o/s side window blinds hanging off did temp repair until dealer sorts. We were off grid with Solar/Battery and gas and as we cooked a meal the oven cooling fans kicked in and flattened the battery. Trip over after 1st night! I am not impressed with the factory quality control, also the Retrograde choice of Cooker for a 12v Caravan (cooling fans why) The cooker means we are restricted to having to use sites with electric. Caravan was very comfortable and well equipped but if we are off grid then we are unable to use oven or grill or risk flattening the battery. It's a great layout and very comfortable but some things need more diligence by Bailey QC. The appliance planner needs to understand not everyone uses mains electricity in their caravan so these appliances need to be 12v friendly.
Love our new cabrera series v
Love our new cabrera series v. I feel Quality control and build is not as good as our last cabrera. We had to take it back to the dealer a day after collection because water was pouring out if the floor cupboard in the bedroom. Jubilee clip missing on the shower pipe. The alde fluid tank was leaking which I managed to resolve but the tank has pulled out of the wall and is now at an angle. Somehow we got rain in the wardrobe coming out of a fixing which is the fixing fir the rear grab handle. This has not put us off bailey and our dealer is going to rectify the problems. Otherwise we love it

Response to warranty issues and supply of parts for accident repair.
I August 2020 I purchased a new Bailey Phoenix 644 caravan. The supplier is 200 miles from my home address, I went to them because of a good price offer. After pick up, I immediately set off on 2 weeks holiday with the van. There were quickly found some build issues. 1) Screw missing from shower vent arm. 2) Silicon sealant split in shower. 3) Bedroom curtain rail hanging from ceiling 4) Fridge 12V cooling not working These issues were reported but Covid situation prevented fixing. Further problems occurred, water system would not turn off, updated pressure switch supplied by post by van supplier. Thank you. Pump failed, I was told to but pump and I would be re-imbursed when I took van for warranty work. There was then an accident with third party (Oct 2021) puncturing van skin. Awaiting parts for repair. Van taken 200 miles for warranty work, Alko ATS not working but out of warranty. Supplier only fixed curtain rail, and would not re-imburse me for pump, gave me another as spare. Wow. Told me they couldn't fix ATS as it needed specialist software on laptop. Really? All my dealings with the supplier have been held in an unhelpful atmosphere. Very unhappy, having bought this marvellously designed comfortable van, all the shine has been taken off ownership. Having visited the NEC Caravan show 23rd Feb, I was given Bailey service contact number. A breath of fresh air! Having spoken to Mrs Moody I have a way forward with the warranty issues and a date for supply of parts for the accident repairs. BIG THANK YOU. I have not given 5 stars because the work has yet to be done and.......... This has brought some confidence for me back to Bailey, who are of course considered to be a quality supplier. My suggestion for improvements going forward is that Bailey need to ensure that customers AND suppliers are aware warranty work can be done by any authorised workshop and don't hide behind not wanting to to do warranty work for non original customers. Also, for the assembly fitters they need to be aware that poor assembly reflects on the Company and future sales.
