This company is either a scam or customer service is completely incompetent
I bought a laptop and opted for delivery by post. The website indicates that shipping takes 2 business days for metro locations. My home is just a few suburbs away from the main office of this business. It took almost a week for the tracking number I was given to produce any results on the Australia Post website. When it did produce results it gave me no indication where the parcel was. Apparentely it got redirected to another state. I began emailing the company to ask for help. They kept delaying and asking me to wait until Australia Post updated its website. About a week and a half into this process, the redirection of the parcel to another state was discovered. I sent about 10 messages and got no tangible help whatsoever. Then I asked to cancel the order. Customer service asked me to place a second order (at my expense) on their website and drop into the store to pick it up. They did not offer to refund my first purchase. In fact they told me that I would have to wait until the parcel was found and then redelivered back to them for a refund. Who knows how long that could take. In the meantime, I have absolutely no idea where the parcel is and if I will ever get my money back. My advice to you is do not every deal with this company. There is no way to get in touch with them via telephone. Not once during this entire process did anyone ever pick up the phone to call me an apologize. In fact, they make it impossible to actually speak to a live person and sort stuff out in a timely and civilized fashion. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I will never do business with them again.
Avoid use Amazon or similar
After an awkward click-and-collect where they tried to give me the wrong order (apparently, you don't ask for ID first) Open a new monitor after collection to find it wasn't curved as expected. I returned the following day (less than 24 hours later) to be told to exchange it. I was told there was a 15% restocking fee as the tape had been cut on the box; nothing was written on the invoice stating this. Seriously? Upgrading in the same store within 24 hours and getting a 15% surcharge for cutting the tape? Still waiting to hear from ACCC if this is even legal. No wonder Amazon is killing it. Support your local store, they say!
Great Customer Service & Warranty Team
Many people seem to be making complaints about poor customer service etc, I purchased around $3500 in computer parts from them around a year ago to build a pc, the CPU ended up dying on me, I contacted their support team and within a day had my items sent off for them to test & check, it ended up being faulty so they replaced it for me free of charge. This is my personal experience, I haven't had any issues with their service and their customer service was amazing and fast.

One of the worst customer service i have experienced. I called the online customer service, it seemed like someone forced to answer the call and respond. I was so annoyed the way they responded i just hung up. What an absolute joke of a service. Please do not give these guys your money.
BUY YOUR TECH ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
BUY YOUR TECH ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Rude service, refusing to help after spending well over $2000 with these wannabes. Act like they know everything yet clearly have no knowledge. Being a disabled customer makes it very hard and after being treated like crap. THEY CAN ALL GO TAKE A LONG WALK OFF A SHORT PIER!!!

**** CAUTION**** when buying the Logitech lift left handed mouse from centrecom. The advertise left with a RH mouse then deliver the right hand (there is no option to select left or right). I ordered one and received RH. When I asked for a refund centrecom wanted to charge me to refund their mistake. This company takes no responsibility for their errors. Proceed with extreme caution!
As a returning customer this year, unfortunately, my rating of Centre Com online shop is maxed at 2, which is a shame!!! I have loved shopping at Centre Com online because the shop has the best deals and their website is user-friendly. The filtering made it easy to find what I potentially wanted. The shop also ships the product promptly, and if we had any inquiries about our purchase, they would answer/resolve them speedily. This year, I learned something new... I sought Centre Com online after-sales care because my brand-new laptop's battery only lasted 3 hours. Long story short, this part of their service DOES NOT match their sales efforts! So here's my recommendation if you wish to deal with Centre Com online: a) Keep your fingers and toes crossed that the product you purchase does not come with any fault. b) If there are any tech issues, go to the manufacturer's tech service first (or seek help from your IT friends) for their perspectives and recommendations. Only then can you go to Centre Com with what you need them to do but not beforehand! c) Read their warranty policy CAREFULLY and know your rights as an Australian customer. Google it if you are not aware. You can negotiate your position if the after-sales care team gives you the round-around or "out-of-this-world-what-the-heck-are-you-telling-me" advice. d) This part is a little tedious: Keep a record of your interaction! I found this really helpful, especially if you want to involve their corporate team in the resolution. Or that you have to proceed with notifying your customer protection agency. e) Finally, if you still find their resolution unsatisfactory, write to their corporate team and show them the evidence of your interactions. My issue was resolved, thank heavens. I only wish (a) they would use a little more tact and not jump to conclusions; I watched the TV series "The IT Crowd", and yes, I have turned the computer off and on again (figuratively speaking). And (b) they do not offer the laptop or any goods to be returned to the customer if the fault was not appropriately tested for whatever reason. Good luck!
Do the right thing CentreCom!
Rating below any stars. Anyone dealing with this company, if it's warranties or sale. As soon as you have an issue with this company regardless if you eventually get a refund or warranties. Send a formal complain to Consumer Affairs Victoria and the ACCC. If you are paying via paypal or any other payment system including your bank, file a dispute with your payment system immediately. DO NOT TRANSFER funds bank to bank. Read the conditions applied by each bank, this is harder to recover. This process will takes some time, you can close this dispute any time if you deem the resolutions is provided agreeable. Do not waste your time. If you genuinely lost monetary funds, report them. If your purchases or warranties is legit, don't waste your time and efforts without officially raise a case with the appropriate Government agencies. Take steps when you are ignored or held as long as possible with no resolution. File an officially disputed with your payment system or banks. Go to Consumer Affairs Victoria and look for "Consumer guarantess that apply automatically" and or "Product missing or damaged in Transit" or email to start a case with them, they will call you. Prepare to provide all information of communications and transaction. No matter the issue, file the report with these government agencies. So it's noted by them. I made a purchase and it was a non-delivery, in this case they should have just dealt with the courier services and leaving the customer out as stated by Consumer Affairs Victoria. Instead they held the funds illegally rather than resolving the issue quickly. It was a forced refund by payment system after weeks of communication and proof of what was happening. The point of this review is to make you aware of your consumer rights and for CentreCom to uphold that rights. So make sure you are legitimate with your claims then you will be covered. CentreCom, do the right thing and review the consumer laws of each state you deal with. If you done the right thing by your customers and uphold the consumer law, you have nothing to worry about. Good Luck!
Can't Review Proof Of ID but can instantly process refund while making me pay the surcharge?
Trying to buy a Pre-Built PC & Monitor. Order went through until a day or 2 later it was halted because of Anti-Fraud detection, they had already taken around $1,500 from my account & hadn't even started shipping - which was a surprising $33~ since on the items it mentioned free shipping, I sent Proof of ID etc & it wasn't getting reviewed or letting me get past this stage. Requested a refund & they instantly processed the refund request but will have to wait up to 5 business days for the money to come back. Waste of $17+.
The WORST experience! Stay away!
The WORST customer service with not support at all! I have spent $3000 for a custom build computer and have had to return it twice. The IT department have not been helpful at all. Do not buy from here!!!
